Chapter 4

The kitchen smelled like fresh coffee and pancakes, but all I could taste was guilt and the faint salty hint of Kai’s cum still lingering on my tongue from when he’d pulled me into the bathroom for a “quick” cleanup after breakfast.

Leah chatted happily across the table, completely oblivious, her hair still messy from last night. “You sure you’re okay, Alexia? You look a little flushed.”

I forced a smile, shifting in my seat. Kai’s load was still leaking slowly into the fresh panties I’d thrown on. Every movement reminded me of how thoroughly he’d claimed me just minutes ago while she was pouring coffee. “Yeah, just didn’t sleep great. Bad dreams.”

Kai sat beside Leah, one arm casually draped over the back of her chair, but his dark eyes kept flicking to me with that knowing, hungry look. Under the table, his foot brushed mine — a secret touch that sent heat straight to my core.

“Dreams, huh?” he said, voice casual but laced with something only I could hear. “Sometimes the best dreams feel too real to let go of.”

Leah laughed and leaned into him. “You’re so weird in the mornings, babe.”

I excused myself as soon as I could, mumbling something about needing to work on my laptop. The moment I stepped into my room, Kai followed a few minutes later, locking the door behind him with that same soft, dangerous click.

“You’ve been clenching around nothing all breakfast, haven’t you?” he murmured, backing me against the wall. His big hands roamed over my curves — squeezing my full breasts, sliding down to grip my wide hips. “Thinking about how full I left you?”

“Kai… Leah is literally in the living room,” I whispered, even as I tilted my head to give him better access to my neck. “This is too risky.”

“That’s what makes it so fucking good.” He dropped to his knees again, yanking my pants down and burying his face between my thighs. His tongue lapped at the mess he’d left, cleaning me while driving me crazy. “Taste so much better with my cum still in you.”

I came fast and hard on his tongue, biting my arm to stay silent.

That became our dangerous new normal over the next few days.

The following morning was even bolder.

Leah had left early for a pack meeting — something about Luna preparations in the SilverFang pack. Kai and I had the apartment to ourselves for maybe forty minutes.

We didn’t waste a second.

He bent me over the kitchen counter where Leah had made breakfast the day before. My breasts pressed against the cool surface as he slammed into me from behind, fucking me raw and deep.

“Gonna breed you right here,” he growled, one hand fisting my hair, the other slapping my ass. “Fill this curvy omega pussy while your best friend is out playing house with the pack. When she comes back, you’ll be sitting in her chair leaking my seed.”

“Yes— please, Kai!” I moaned, pushing back against him desperately. My thick thighs trembled. The risk of her returning early made everything more intense.

He knotted me hard on the counter, pumping me full until my belly felt swollen. We barely had time to clean up before Leah’s key turned in the lock.

I sat at the table pretending to scroll on my phone, thighs pressed tight together, while Kai greeted her with a kiss on the cheek — the same mouth that had just been devouring my pussy.

The guilt ate at me every time Leah smiled at me.

But the addiction grew stronger.

Chapter 6 – Near Miss

That evening, Leah almost caught us.

She had stepped out to grab takeout. Kai had me on the balcony, my back against the railing, one leg hooked over his arm as he fucked me slow and deep under the night sky.

“You’re getting addicted to my cock, aren’t you, beautiful?” he whispered, knot teasing my entrance. “Can’t even go a few hours without it stretching this greedy hole.”

I was close — so close — when we heard Leah’s voice calling from inside.

“Guys? I’m back!”

Kai didn’t stop. He clamped a hand over my mouth and kept thrusting, pushing me over the edge right as Leah’s footsteps approached the balcony door. He pulled out at the last second, coming across my ass and lower back in hot stripes just as we slipped back inside, clothes hastily adjusted.

Leah tilted her head. “Why do you both look so… sweaty?”

“Exercise,” Kai said smoothly, pulling me into a casual side hug that hid the evidence on my skin. “Alexia needed some fresh air.”

The lies were getting easier.

The need was getting worse.

Chapter 95I’m still awed by the fortress. The sun trapped my vision toward the top, causing me to narrow my eyes. I turned my focus to the field, a fountain meeting my gaze as we approached the large double handled doors.Trees lined the pathway, adorning either side, with a small garden flourishing near the entrance. The flowerbeds caught more of my attention, my lips parting at their beauty. The air was potent with the fruity scent of flowers. Just pure bliss. Finally, we entered, Clawface pushing the door open. I had expected some sort of chill, but to my surprise, it all felt warm.Welcoming even.I strolled deeper in, my eyes wandering about as though trying to observe everything at once. A few maids walked past with my luggage being wheeled behind them.“Where’s my room?” I said, turning my face to the side.Clawface was next to me, one hand clasped behind his back. He looked more like an inspector than my supposed bodyguard. And speaking of guarding, I’d thought this place was

Chapter 94Marcellan was my alarm this morning because his entry made me wake up. He raised a brow when he turned around after shutting the door behind him, only to find me sitting up on the bed.“You used to be a deep sleeper. Were you already awake, or…?”I hissed so hard that he raised both brows, his mouth widening into an ‘O’ before he wrapped a hand over his chest.“Wow. I suppose it’s not exactly a good morning.”My hair was sprawled all over my face. Shoving my lips to one side, I blew out a breath, trying to get the strands away. That’s how weak I felt when I woke up this morning.“It’s not.”“Aw.” He cooed and came to occupy the edge of the bed where he could look into my eyes. “Tell me about it.”“Oh, I’d gladly do so, except you’re already aware,” I said, twisting his rhetorical question into one that felt as though he’d actually asked.I rested my back against the headboard, one knee brought up to my chest while the other slanted toward the floor, my heel making contact w

  • The Alpha Between Us   Chapter 93

Chapter 93KAI’s POVIt was midnight when I went to see Alexia in our room. My breathtaking Luna was asleep, curled up on her side. A headlamp was strapped to her head, its band having latched deep into her strands, and I wondered how that hadn’t discomforted her.A chuckle escaped me.I sat on the edge of the bed, content to simply watch.Alexia was the most beautiful Omega I’d ever seen. Blessed with such perfect sculpting, she looked unbelievable. From her height to the shape of her body and the warmth of her beige skin, everything about her captivated me. The light spilling over her shut eyes caught against lashes that were almost unfairly thick, as though she’d brushed them before falling asleep. Her skin glistened beneath the influence of stars and shadows. Not even the darkness could steal her spotlight. I gave her another once over, unable to stop myself. Her fingers stretched out before her, one palm resting flat against the bed while the other lay beneath the pillow supporti

  • The Alpha Between Us   Chapter 92

Chapter 92KAI’s POVI was the only one who remained after Alexia’s outburst, as breakfast faded into nothing more than a cynical affair. She was truly a light in any space, and my decision had flickered out that light, blurring it beneath what I believed was protection. My thoughts spiraled, and I zoned out for the longest time. The sun had climbed high above the clouds, its gleaming nature resiliently brightening the sky, when I finally left the spot. For the next thirty minutes or so, I spent most of my time taking a stroll. My wolf helped maintain my metabolism, and so the heat wasn’t much trouble. As I passed by, more maids and guards bowed their heads in respect to my title, and it gave me much to think about.Precisely why I needed Alexia protected. The Michaelson line was much too important. The world was tainted. People were dying, and someone had to help protect and safeguard it until the world was cleansed of danger and evil again. And now that AlexAlexia carried the next h

  • The Alpha Between Us   Chapter 91

Chapter 91Kai wasn’t in the bed with me when I woke up the next morning, so I went on with completing my morning routine. Even when I finished, my nostrils still couldn’t catch his scent. His scent had completely faded, a clear sign that he had left no less than an hour ago.The maids came to clean the room, and when they slid the curtains open, the morning sun poured in, gleaming across every solid object in the room.I made my way out, and through the directions given to me by one of the doormen, I ended up in a greenhouse. It was a small greenhouse beside a swimming pool. To the left was the greenhouse, the crops soaking in the sunlight, and to the right was a chatter formed by Kai, Marcellan, and Clawface. The swimming pool sat in the middle, its top covered.“Damn, you bagged a beauty. Look at that baddie,” Marcellan commented first. His comical tone was a drastic opposite of how he had been the day before.I sincerely did not wish to see such a Marcellan again.Clawface’s stoic

  • The Alpha Between Us   Chapter 90

Chapter 90I woke up to a familiar warmth. Kai wrapped me in his embrace, his linen shirt having glued itself lightly to my cheek. My eyes opened slowly to a dimly lit room. Our room. The duvet felt softer than I remembered when Kai was not here.“You slept like a baby,” he said. The rumble of his chest reverberated against the side of my face as I rested on him, his steady heartbeat grounding me.“I’m a baby,” I stirred, stealing a glance at him. “Your baby.”“Yes, you are,” he finalized.Silence wafted in, and we let it settle between us.I took the chance to think about what had happened earlier. Though the interior design still carried its familiar beauty, I could not say the same for the outside world.“Do you think the others would see me as a monster?”“No,” his response came too quickly.I pressed on.“They say the things I did. I didn’t even know I could do that. I didn’t even know I got lost inside myself.”“Do you remember what happened?” he asked, his neck angled so he cou
