This wasn't some kind of great love story.
I didn't bring Analyn to spend the rest of our lives together because I fell in love with her.
It was something different than love.
It was an addiction.
When I looked at her at that mall for the first time, I felt a rush of excitement. My entire body started to tingle, and I was overwhelmed by thirst. I knew it wasn't just an ordinary thirst for blood. It was meant specifically for her.
I wanted to drink her blood only because I knew it would give me great ecstasy.
And at the same time, I realized something else. She was no ordinary human being. Her scent was different than other human girls. She was not the first one I met who made my head spin.

Analyn POV I don't know what happened. I watched in horror as Rosie lunged at me with her eyes full of hatred and hunger. But something happened that prevented her from touching me. And that's where things got confusing. I let out a cry and raised my hand in an attempt to block her attack, even though I knew it was a feeble attempt. I used all of my strength to push her, half expecting to get hit. She was a vampire, so she was much stronger than me, right? Well, it turns out I was wrong.
