New Identity

Killian's Pov

I couldn't believe I was holding her in my arms. Her sweet scent although faint was still evident to me. I couldn't understand why she had tried to run away, didn't she recognize me as her mate? Didn't she want me? The more I thought of this the more I felt my possessiveness grow, I was so happy that I had found her, I couldn't imagine having to lose her. She was the one I had been praying to the moon goddess for all my life, she was the one who would mother my pups and rule my kingdom beside me.

" Your Majesty?" I heard her say. She was looking up at me with confusion in her eyes. I was happy that she wasn't struggling anymore, perhaps she also realized that I was her mate

" Yes, it is me, my love, I am very happy I finally found you. You can't imagine how long I had prayed to have you in my arms, my Luna, my mate"

" I am your mate?"

" Yes, can you not feel the bond between us? Is it one-sided" I was becoming worried the more we spoke. She didn't seem to recognize me as her mate, or else she wouldn't have tried to run away at first. So what could be happening? Why would the Moon Goddess give me a mate who didn't feel any bond between us?

" Y..yes, I feel the bond. I was just started that's all" She said quickly. She wrapped her arms around me all of a sudden and pulled me into her embrace. I happily obliged her and held her in my arms. I felt relief wash over me at the thought that I wasn't being rejected. " We are mates, I can't believe it"

" It's a wonder I didn't feel our connection earlier today when we met"

I knew that my mate was the daughter of Alpha Zack, I had met her earlier that day when I arrived in the Blood Moon pack but I hadn't paid any attention to her. Lucille had been flirting with me but I had ignored her, She was beautiful of course but I was already used to beautiful women throwing themselves at me. Who would have thought that she would end up being my mate, I was so glad I hadn't treated her badly despite how disgusting I thought her attempts were earlier that day. If I hadn't found her attractive that morning I now thought she was the most beautiful woman in the world. And it was all because of her scent that was driving me crazy. It smelt of vanilla and honey, sweet and alluring

" Perhaps it was because the moon was absent," Lucille said nervously. If I didn't know better I would think she knew something I didn't. But at the moment I was just excited to have her here with me, in my arms.

" Lucille? Is that you?" Alpha Zack's voice said attracting my attention. It seemed I had been too loud earlier and had woken everyone in the house. My mate's parents and two of my Delta's approached us with curiosity. They were all surprised to see me holding Lucille, especially my Delta's who knew the low tolerance I had for women.

" Mom, Dad, I just found my mate," Lucille said

" Is this true Your Majesty?" Alpha Zack asked, his eyes had brightened in joy. I nodded to them in agreement, I was beaming with joy and I wanted nothing more than to take Lucille back into my arms and wrap myself in her glorious scent

" She is not lying. We are mates and I will be taking her back to the Lycan pack with me tomorrow. I have been searching for her for a very long time and I don't want to waste any more time. I hope you understand Alpha"

" Of course your Majesty, we are very honored to have Lucille be your mate. I shall have everything prepared for your departure tomorrow "

" Alright" After addressing Alpha Zack, I turn to my mate once more with a loving expression. I leaned down and placed a kiss on her forehead. I wish I could do more to show my affection for her but now wasn't the right time " Have a good night my Luna"

She smiled at me which made my heart warm. I felt reluctant to leave her side but I had to let her rest. I was glad that today had turned out well, I was now very confident that the prophetess hadn't been lying when she said I would find my mate in the Blood Moon Pack

Lucille's Pov

The moment the Lycan King left I felt myself on the verge of collapsing. I didn't know whether to celebrate or mourn. I was glad that he thought I was his mate and that he even wanted to take me back to his pack, but I was also angry at the thought that I wasn't his real mate. My father had lied to me, the prophecy wasn't about me at all, rather it was about that bastard bitch.

She was the one who had bumped into me and I had her scent all over me. She was the real mate to the Lycan King and not me. Just thinking about Lisa becoming the Luna of the Lycan Pack made me angry. She didn't deserve to have the King as her mate, she was nothing but a bastard! No, King Killian already thought I was his mate, I couldn't let her take this away from me. If he found out that I lied to him about it then he would punish me and my family for it.

" Lucille, what's wrong with you? Are you not happy that you are now the mate of King Killian?"

" No, I am not happy Mother, because I am not the mate of the king, Kira is" Both my father and mother looked at me in shock. My mother quickly went to close the door for fear that someone might overhear

" What the heck are you talking about? How can it be Lisa? King Killian recognized you as his mate, he had your scent"

" It wasn't my scent, it was Lisa's. I was going downstairs to get something to eat when she ran into me, she rubbed her scent all over me and then ran off to her room. It turned out that she had been running from King Killian who recognized her as his mate, he also ran into me and thought that I was her because of the scent. I'm not the one dad, it's not me "

I had tears in my eyes and was soon crying in despair. My mother held me close as I sobbed. I couldn't believe that my dreams of being Luna had been dashed right before my eyes. Why had the moon goddess chosen to bless that bastard over me? Why wasn't I the destined mate of the Lycan King?

" Calm yourself, Lucille, there is no point crying now. Since the Lycan king recognized you as his mate then we shouldn't correct him. You can continue being his mate and he would never have to find out" my father said

" How am I supposed to do that Dad?"

" It's not Lisa he recognizes, it's her scent. If you can keep Lisa close to you then you will still have her scent. All we have to do is disguise her so the Lycan King will never know she is his true mate. You will be the only Luna in the Lycan Empire"

" You are right, but whatever we need to do we have to do it first. The Lycan King will be leaving tomorrow " my mother said. I watched as both she and my father left the room, and soon they came back dragging Lisa behind them. The bastard had a terrified expression on her face as if she didn't know what she had done.

" P..please...Let me go.....I didn't do anything wrong...please" She pleaded to the worthless pig she was. Just seeing her made me feel disgusted, how can someone like this be the mate of the Lycan King?

" Shut your mouth bastard " My father snarled at her. He grabbed her by the hair and dragged her towards my bedside table. He took a pair of scissors and started cutting off her hair. She was crying quietly as she watched her hair being cut off without being able to do anything. My father didn't stop cutting her hair until she had nothing more but a low cut. " From this moment on, you will no longer be known as a daughter of mine. You will go with Lucille to the Lycan Pack as her younger brother. You will not let anyone recognize you as a female. You will wear heavy perfume to mask your scent, but not before wearing whatever clothes Lucille wishes to wear first. Whatever she's wearing you have to wear it first so it has your scent. If you refuse to do this then your fate would be worse than that of your mother, do you understand?"

" Y...yes... I... I understand"

" Good, now get out of my sight"

Lisa shuffles to her feet and runs out of the room in fear. I smiled in contentment seeing how harshly my father had treated her. This was what she deserved. She was a bastard and deserved to be treated as one.

" You have nothing more to worry about my dear, you are now the Luna of the Lycan Pack"

" Thank you Father" I hugged my father in appreciation. I was so grateful to have parents who were supportive of me. Now that all my troubles have been solved, I can keep my worries aside and enjoy my new position as mate of the Lycan King.
