Chapter Thirteen

Kiara curled her hands, staring at her phone. She scoffed aloud and turned around to walk back into the house since there was no need to go to the palace. Aiden didn't need her so who was she to bother herself with him?

As she took a step, she halted just immediately and heaved deeply. Whatever she had felt this morning was very much strange and she had to find out if Aiden was alright.

Kiara clutched her phone tight, thinking about what to do. Why the hell could she not let herself stop thinking about him after what she had seen yesterday? She turned around again and began to walk down the hill, heading straight for the roadside to find a cab. It was now she had to overcome her fear and get into one.

"Taxi."

Once the car halted, she swallowed hard and got in, slowly shutting the door. The driver ignited the engine and drove away afterward.
