Chapter 51

Christian Bale POV

The black truck stopped outside the Bale estate just before midnight. For several seconds, its engine continued to rumble in the darkness. The headlights illuminated the tall iron gates, the familiar stone pillars, and the long driveway leading to the house. Then the driver's door opened. A man stepped out, glanced toward the estate, and walked around to the back of the truck. He pulled open the rear door.

Two unconscious figures lay inside. Christian and Ame

  • The Alpha Who Rejected Me    Under the Full Moon

Chapter 54 Eleanor's POV Morning arrived without making anything better. I woke in the motel room with a stiff neck, swollen eyes, and the awful feeling that I had barely slept at all. For several seconds, I stared at the unfamiliar ceiling, unable to remember where I was. Then everything returned at once: the threat, my parents, the man in the convenience store, and the footsteps outside my door. I sat up so quickly that the room tilted around me. After washing my face, I packed the few things I had taken out of my bag. I didn't want to stay another night. The motel had offered me a roof, but it hadn't offered me safety, and I couldn't shake the feeling that the stranger had been watching me for a reason. For a moment, I stood beside my car, wondering whether I should turn around and go home. Home meant my mother humming while she made breakfast, my father asking if I had slept well, and the familiar comfort of knowing that no matter what happened outside, I could always retu

  • The Alpha Who Rejected Me   Someone Is Watching

Chapter 53 Eleanor's POV By the time night settled over the highway, my eyes were burning, my head was pounding, and my body felt as though it had been carrying a weight far heavier than it could bear. I had been driving for hours, stopping only when I needed fuel or when the tears became so overwhelming that I could no longer see the road clearly. I had no destination, no plan, and no idea how far I had travelled from Boston. Every time I passed a sign announcing another town, I felt a strange mixture of relief and terror. I was getting farther away from the people who had threatened my family, but I was also getting farther away from the only home I had ever known. My stomach growled, reminding me that I had barely eaten since leaving the house. I ignored it and continued driving, gripping the steering wheel as though letting go would somehow cause everything around me to fall apart. Then I saw the motel. It stood beside the highway, a modest two-storey building with faded pai

  • The Alpha Who Rejected Me   Nowhere to Go

Chapter 52 Eleanor's POV I couldn't stop crying. No matter how many times I wiped my face, the tears kept coming, blurring the road ahead until the headlights of passing cars became nothing more than streaks of light. My hands trembled against the steering wheel, and every few seconds, I had to blink hard just to see where I was going. I didn't know where I was going. I didn't know what I was supposed to do. All I knew was that I had to leave. Leave Boston, leave my home, leave everything I had ever known behind me, because somewhere out there were people who had managed to get their hands on my parents. My parents. The thought alone made a fresh wave of sobs escape my throat. "Mom," I whispered, my voice breaking. "Dad." I could still hear my father's voice from that phone call, the urgency in it, the way he had tried to warn me even while someone was holding him captive. I could still remember the fear that had settled in my chest when the call suddenly ended. What if that was t

Chapter 51 Christian Bale POV The black truck stopped outside the Bale estate just before midnight. Christian and Amelia Bale. The man looked at them without expression before reaching for Christian's arm and dragging him toward the edge of the truck. Christian fell onto the ground with a heavy thud. Amelia was lowered beside him. Neither moved. The man stepped backward, checked the surrounding road, and returned to the driver's seat. The engine roared. Within seconds, the black truck disappeared into the darkness, leaving the couple abandoned outside their own home. For several moments, nothing happened. Th

  • The Alpha Who Rejected Me   The Girl Who Had Nowhere to Go

Chapter 50 Eleanor's POV I didn't know how long I stood in the living room after the call ended. My phone was still pressed against my ear, and I kept hoping I would hear my father's voice again. Maybe he would call back. Maybe he would tell me everything was fine, that Mom was beside him, and that I could stop worrying. Maybe this was all a terrible nightmare, and I would wake up in my bed with my parents downstairs, arguing about what to have for breakfast. But the silence remained. And slowly, painfully, I realized that nobody was coming to save me. I was alone. I lowered my phone and stared at the messages again. Leave Boston. Leave the country and never turn back. Do as you're told, and your family will be safe. I wiped my face with trembling hands. My parents were being held somewhere by people I couldn't identify, people who had somehow managed to get past everything my father had put in place to protect our family. And they wanted me gone. Fine. I would leave. I couldn

  • The Alpha Who Rejected Me    Leave and Never Return

Chapter 49 Eleanor's POV I didn't know how long I had been sitting on the floor. Minutes, perhaps. Maybe an hour. Time had lost all meaning since I walked into my father's study and discovered that my parents were missing. I had searched the entire house twice, called their phones until I could no longer stand the sound of unanswered ringing, and checked every room in the desperate hope that I had somehow overlooked them. But they weren't there. My parents were gone. And I had no idea where to find them. Eventually, I made my way downstairs and collapsed onto the living room sofa. My hands were trembling. I held my phone so tightly that my fingers began to ache, staring at the screen as though my father might somehow call me if I looked hard enough. "Dad, please," I whispered. "Just call me." Nothing. I tried Mom again. Straight to voicemail. I buried my face in my hands. Why was this happening to me? I had barely begun to recover from what Ethan had done to me. I was still st
