Gina’s POV

Nobody moved.

Nobody even breathed.

The woman outside laughed softly again while the wind pushed against the old sanctuary windows. The sound sent chills through the room.

Gabriel stood directly in front of me now.

Protective.

Dangerously still.

His claws remained extended while Darius and the others spread across the room carefully.

Trevor whispered:

“Why do creepy people always laugh before bad things happen?”

“Quiet,” Darius muttered.

Another knock echoed through the door.

Calm.

The ground didn’t just shake; it groaned as if the island itself were being ripped apart at the seams. Fissures tore through the sacred grove, glowing with a deep, primordial crimson light that bled from the chasm below. The freezing air clutched at Gina’s lungs, but the ice in her veins had nothing to do with the temperature.Lucien lay motionless beside her, his skin rapidly graying as the corrupted black veins reached his jawline."Lucien... no, please, wake up. Look at me," Gina choked out, her hands hovering over his chest. She tried to channel her spirit energy, desperately forcing the white light into his wound, but the ancient king’s presence in the grove was so suffocatingly heavy that her magic felt like a flickering candle in a hurricane.A few feet away, the monstrous shadow-beast that had been pinning Gabriel down paused, its multi-eyed face twisting toward the newcomer. Even a creature born of dark magic recognized a predator that sat at the very top of the food chain. G

The air inside the shattered sanctuary was thick with the acrid scent of ozone and freshly spilled blood. The terrifying revelation of the man standing in the doorway—the brother Gina hadn't known existed, an exact mirror of Lucien but dressed in the dark armor of the High Hunters—still hung heavily over the room."Step away from my sister," Lucien snarled, his voice dropping an octave into a register of pure, lethal malice. He didn't hesitate. With a lethal grace, he drew his twin blades, the silver metal humming as he stepped directly between Gina and the impostor. "I don't know what kind of dark magic Selene used to fashion your face, puppet, but I will carve it off."The hunter brother—Julian—let out a dry, chilling chuckle that echoed off the crumbling stone walls. "Puppet? Oh, Lucien. Mother always did say you were the slow one. You ran away to play guardian wolf, while I stayed behind to inherit the real power.""Enough talking," Gabriel growled. The Alpha didn't just attack; h

The air inside the stone sanctuary on the hidden island always smelled like crushed sage and sea salt, but today, it felt suffocating. Gina sat cross-legged on the cold floor, her chest heaving as she ripped herself away from the vision. The phantom scent of burning pine and the cold, mocking smile of Commander Kieran still clung to her senses."Gina? Breathe. You're pulling too hard on the spirit energy."Lyra’s calm, melodic voice drifted through the haze. The ancient Moonborn woman was standing near the arched window, her silver hair catching the pale afternoon light. Beside her, Nyra, the pack’s sharp-tongued female warrior, leaned against a stone pillar with her arms crossed, her amber eyes tracking Gina’s irregular breathing."It's Kieran," Gina choked out, her hands trembling against her knees. The glowing white crescent symbol on her forehead faded slowly back into her skin, leaving behind a dull, throbbing ache. "Gabriel... it’s Kieran. He’s the one opening the borders. He’s

  • The Alpha Who Survived My Curse   Chapter 32 — The Name In Her Vision

Gabriel’s POVSomething was wrong.I felt it before sunrise. The island was quiet, but not peaceful. There was tension in the air.The kind that came before bloodshed.I stood near the cliffside overlooking the ocean while cold wind moved through the trees behind me. Below the cliffs, warriors trained with silver weapons while others repaired damage from the journey.Too many were missing.Every time I looked at the training grounds, I noticed empty spaces where my warriors should have been.Dead.Lost at sea.Killed by hunters. And every single death sat heavily on my shoulders.“You haven’t slept.”I glanced sideways.Darius walked toward me carrying two cups of coffee.I took one quietly.“Thanks.”“You look terrible.”“I feel worse.”“That’s reassuring.”I exhaled slowly before staring back toward the ocean.“I left the pack vulnerable.”Darius leaned against the stone railing beside me.“You protected your mate.”The word made something tighten inside my chest.Mate.Mine.Even n

  • The Alpha Who Survived My Curse   Chapter 31 — The Kiss Beneath The Moon

Gina’s POVThe island finally felt alive again. Not peaceful exactly. But calmer. The wounded warriors slowly recovered while the children returned to playing near the cliffs. Fires burned through the village at night, and for the first time in weeks…nobody was running for their lives.I stood barefoot near the training grounds while cold wind moved through my hair.Across from me, Lyra watched calmly with her silver eyes.“Again,” she said.I groaned softly.“I’ve been trying for an hour.”“And failing for an hour.”Trevor sat nearby eating fruit.“She’s very supportive emotionally.”Nyra rolled her eyes beside him.“Focus, Gina.”I exhaled slowly before lifting my hand again.Silver light flickered weakly across my fingers. Then disappeared.Nothing.Absolutely nothing.I frowned.“This is stupid.”Lyra crossed her arms.“Your power responds to emotion.”“That explains why everything explodes when she panics,” Trevor muttered.“No one asked,” Cassian said dryly.I ignored them and

  • The Alpha Who Survived My Curse   Chapter 30— The Bond That Changed Everything

Gabriel’s POVSomething was wrong with me.That was the only explanation.Because every time Gina walked into a room lately…everything else disappeared. The island training grounds stretched below the cliffs while warriors sparred beneath the afternoon sun. Normally I would’ve been focused on them.On rebuilding discipline. On the wounded. On the wolves questioning my decisions.Instead my attention kept drifting toward the girl standing near the waterfall.Gina laughed softly at something Trevor said. And my chest tightened.Dangerously.Darius appeared beside me with crossed arms.“You’re staring again.”“I’m thinking.”“You’ve been thinking at her for ten minutes.”Gabriel scowled slightly.Darius smirked.“Pathetic.”“Careful.”“Oh, I’m terrified.”The annoying part?Darius looked amused instead of afraid. He leaned against the wooden railing near me.“You know the warriors are talking.”“I know.”Some supported me.Some didn’t.Several Nightfang wolves believed I abandoned my pa
