Chapter Thirty-Two

Layla POV

Amy looks still looks tired at breakfast.

“What is the matter, Amy?”

She shakes her head as she stands, and I follow her outside.

“I think there is something wrong with me, Layla; I keep having the same dream every night.”

“For how long, Amy?”

“A couple of weeks.”

We are sitting on the front porch of the packhouse, and we stop talking as the front door opens. Diana walks out and walks briskly towards Marian's house. Amy raises her eyebrows at me and tries to change the direction of our conversation.

“No way, Amy, everyone has left; now, what is the dream about?”

She hangs he head as she says,

“I am about eight years old; I don't live here; Layla and I have a brother. My home was attacked, and everyone died except another person and me.”

“Isn't that kind of what happened to you, though, Amy?”

“Yes, but I don't remember having a brother, and the other person was Diana.”

“Are you sure it's Diana?”

“Yes, it is Diana in my dream.”
