The Alpha's Ball

The Alpha's mansion was packed with all the visiting Alphas, each bringing their own personal entourage. The mansion had been decorated in silver and gold, with swaths of gauzy silver and gold fabric, hanging from the ceiling around the dance floor in the ballroom. The doors to the terrace were thrown open and guests had spilled out into the gardens and the chilly night, where fairy lights were strung out through the trees.

There were tables crammed with sumptuous dishes and bars serving drinks, interspersed throughout the ballroom and gardens. Waiters moved among the guests, taking and delivering orders, while a live band played on stage in the ballroom. 

Mingling with their guests, Zeke kept his arm securely wrapped around Merlin’s waist, as they worked their way through the crowd. They were a beautiful couple, with Zeke, darkly handsome in his tux, while Merlin dazzled in a shimmering gold ballgown with silver sequins. Her hair
