Celia's POV

Never had I considered myself a thief or a bandit, yet as the golden globe laid still in my bag and my palm grew sweaty with anxiety, I could tell that something in me knew it was wrong, crucial for my survival but wrong, but now it didn’t matter, I was sure he had more of these at home.

“Next!” The pawn shop attendant yelled.

I took the globe from my bag and placed it on the counter, my eyes noticed the flicker in the grey hue of his pupils indicating that it cost a lot and that it was a precious item, a real steal.

“I’ll give you five thousand” he cleared his throat, stroking strands of the bush he would call a beard.

Five thousand? For a globe? That’s so much!

“Give me twenty and we have a deal” I replied, my brows arched as my face hid the fact that even that five thousand was a lot and maybe enough.

The man groaned “Are you trying to steal from me kid?”

“First off, I’m not a kid” I put my finger in the air, waving it in front of his big face. “And second, we both know how much this globe costs, I just need it out of my hand because I already have enough of them”

His eyes glanced back at the item with desire “Or do I take it elsewhere?” I grabbed hold of it and he held onto my hand with a shaky laughter.

“Come on’ girl. We can settle this” he chuckled softly, his overgrown beard giving me the ick but at least it was better than that hell hole they call a home.

“So how much?” This time, a faint smirk tugged at the corner of my lips.

I had sold the globe for thirteen thousand, a lot more than I thought I’d get it for since there were more than four back at the Alpha’s mansion.

“Time to get some rest” I mumbled to myself as I quickly paid for a place to stay.

Life couldn’t get any better, mother wasn’t nagging at me, not because she wasn’t home but because I had left her new home for her, the rich oak scent wasn’t suffocating me anymore because I wasn’t around anything too wealthy and finally, that idiot’s face was out of my sight for good.

As I scrolled through some of the designs of dresses my eyes had come across, I heard a subtle knock on the door. My eyes glanced over at the wall clock I had put for decorative reasons to see that it was time for the milkman but it seemed as though he was a bit too early today by at least ten minutes.

But it didn’t matter, as long as it’s the milk, I might as well just have it early today.

The knock came on again and I rushed out with my robe over my night gown “Coming!” I yelled before opening the door and almost immediately, my stomach plummeted.

His face stood close to me, his blue eyes losing its patience “Wh..what are you doing here?!” I asked and he didn’t answer, instead he walked right inside, pushing me backwards with only his presence as my body tried hard enough to avoid his skin grazing mine.

“I asked you a question Ronan, what are you doing he..”

“That’s what I’m meant to be asking you, you lying thief!” He growled, running his fingers through his hair “I knew you were up to no good!”

“Stop fucking yelling at me!” I snapped.

A soft chuckle erupted from his mouth as he used his tongue to move round his upper canines “Do you really have such luxury? Huh Celia?”

I paused, bending my head low because deep down we both knew how right he was, me especially.

“I didn’t mean to take it” I mumbled softly.

“So what? The globe called onto you and you picked it up?!” He drawled, his hand placed on his waist “And then you just what...run away”

“You don’t understand. I just..I just couldn’t take it anymore” my eyes had begun to redden and my saliva stuck in my throat “The house, my mother..everything” I sighed.

“My mother hates me, I’m sure you and your family would be much more better without me in it, so just leave” I mumbled, walking past him when he held onto my arm.

His eyes stayed fixated on mine “I’m taking you back home, even if it means dragging you there”

I whisked my arm away “I’m not going back, besides how on earth did you find me?” My throat finally got free because my mind wasn’t focused on his broad chests protruding from the quarter zipper that hugged his skin.

He kissed the top of his teeth “You’re not much of a hider” he responded but I squinted my eyes to indicate that I needed more information than just five words.

“Your scent gives you away little flame, it’s everywhere and it’s easy to follow” he paused “you’re lucky I’m not a killer” he whispered but it was loud enough so that I could hear “And with that said, come on home”

“I told you, that’s not my home and I’m not going back” I rolled my eyes when almost immediately I felt his hand throw my arm over his head and my body was slumped over his shoulder.

“Ronan! Put me down! What are you doing?!” I exclaimed, moving my feet which was hoisted in the air and jabbing my fists at his back.

“You don’t have such luxury Celia, you’re coming with me” he said, holding my waist on his shoulder with only one arm, terrifyingly strong.

He finally made it to his car right outside and that’s when it dawned on me that my plan was futile, running away? Who was I kidding? Myself maybe.

He strapped me in with the seatbelt and my eyes stayed outside the window instead of looking at the wind blow through his perfect hair.

We got back to the estate and my body stayed glued to the seat “Get out, now” he ordered but I didn’t flinch. Since he had become used to picking me up whenever he pleased, I guess he’d have to do the same right now.

He walked over to the passenger seat where I sat with my arms folded “If you don’t come out, I swear I’ll do much more than pick you up”

I turned to face him “What will you do? Hold my throat and kiss me?” I scoffed.

“Don’t test me” he answered, a faint smile playing on his lips that it made my heart flutter but also fidget at the same time.

He looked so passive, like he was just meeting me for the first time, that if I hadn’t known better, I would have believed that we were strangers too.But I did know better. And that made it worse.Beside me, my mother’s eyes burned into the side of my face. I knew that if I turned back to her, she was going to see through me and suspect something was wrong. And so I stayed silent, trying to look as stoic as possible and hoping that she didn’t suspect us at allI spent the rest of the day in my new room, unpacking my small luggage in the walk in closet. The room itself was definitely bigger than the living room and kitchen of our old house combined. The walls were painted a light pink and the bed sheets felt so soft that if I laid there I knew I would fall asleep immedi

CELIA’S POV“You are marrying who?” I asked, hoping I had somehow heard my mother wrong. She didn't even blink. She stood in front of me, casually admiring her freshly manicured nails as though she hadn't just dropped a bomb on my already ruined life.“I asked who you said you were marrying,” I repeated, still struggling to process what I'd heard.“Celia, I'm sure you heard me clearly. I'm getting married to the Alpha of this pack, Alpha Theo, and we're moving in with him today.”My jaw nearly hit the floor.“Wait, what do you mean you're getting married? When did you even meet the Alpha, not to mention date him?”Her gray eyes narrowed as she finally looked at me. “That is none of your business, Celia.”“Are you serious right now? You're uprooting our entire life for a man you barely know, and I'm supposed to go along with it like some puppet?”“Don't be ridiculous,” my mother replied with a cold smile. “I'm not asking you to go along with anything. I'm the one getting married, and y

Celia POVDespite everything, a shaky laugh escaped me.He kissed it from my lips.Slowly, the sharp pain began to disappear. A warmer feeling replaced it each time his hips rolled into mine, and my body gradually stopped fighting the unfamiliar fullness. Then one thrust went deeper. My breath broke.“Oh…”He stilled for half a second.A knowing smile touched his mouth. “That felt different.”“Shut up.”He did it again. My head fell backward.“Fuck!”His smile disappeared, replaced by raw hunger.“There she is.”His hands gripped my hips as his movements became firmer, dragging me back against him with every thrust. The bed creaked beneath us, and soon the room was filled with the sounds of our bodies moving together and the moans I could no longer control.I should have been embarrassed.Instead, I wanted more.“Harder,” I breathed. His entire body went still.“What did you say?”My cheeks burned, but I stared into his eyes.“Fuck me harder.”A low growl tore from his chest..His gri

CELIA’S POVI stared at him, completely confused by his last words. His expression remained serious for another second before he suddenly chuckled.“Forget it. I was joking.”I narrowed my eyes on him.“That wasn't funny.”“I know,” he admitted with a grin. “But you should have seen your face.”I rolled my eyes and turned back to my drink, trying to ignore the strange feeling that had settled in my chest. There was definitely something odd about this man.Something I couldn't quite explain. But perhaps that was exactly what I needed tonight.I stole another glance at him, only to find amusement dancing in his eyes.“Careful, sweetheart. Keep looking at me like that and I might start getting ideas.”Heat rushed to my face as I quickly reached for my shot glass, nearly knocking it over in my embarrassment.I hadn’t even noticed that I had been biting my lip.“Another one please,” I mumbled to the bartender. As I downed the fourth drink, I noticed his electric eyes watching me.“What kin

  • The Alpha's Forbidden Wolf-less Mate    Chapter 01: The Stranger

CELIA’S POVI should have known that nothing good could come from falling in love with a wolf, especially when I was the only wolf-less girl in the entire academy.Unlike everyone else, I had never shifted, never heard a wolf’s voice inside my head, and never experienced the pull of a mate bond. I was simply Celia, a scholarship student at one of the most prestigious werewolf academies in the country, and somehow, against all odds, I had fallen hopelessly in love with its most sought-after wolf.Matt was the Beta’s son, the strongest wolf in our year, ridiculously handsome, popular, and worshipped by almost every girl in the academy. Yet for three years, he had made me believe I was the only girl he wanted.“You don’t need a wolf for me to love you, Celia,” he had whispered beneath the academy’s old oak tree. “You’re the woman I chose, and I don’t care what anyone says. At the end of the day, you’re the one I want coming home with me.”God, I had believed him. That was why, three days
