“You! How did you manage to mess it up! Why did you let her go!” 

Dorian blinked at the Augur, unfazed by the older man’s fury, his almost reddened face or the bulging vein on his forehead. He crossed his arms across his chest and continued staring at him while he rambled away and spewed nonsense. Kai, however, wanted to rip off his tongue and claw at his throat, the office was empty and no one would know until it would be too late, but Dorian knew that wouldn’t be...civil. 

“Are you done?” he finally asked, cutting the Augur off, mid-anger rant. He uncrossed his legs and stood up from the couch. The Augur’s nostrils flared. He stomped the cane he was carrying on the hardwood floor, the sound echoing in the empty cabin. 

“Answer me,” he hissed. Dorian co
