Elena’s pov.

I felt pain exploded through my neck.

I gasped, my knees buckled as something hot and electric tore through my body. Dominic had marked me, right In front of everyone?

A strangled sound left my throat as my hands flew to his chest. I could feel the bond rushing into me all at once and i hated that part.

The field spun. I barely registered the crowd, there was stunned silence in the crowd, the way every single person stared at me like I had just become something else entirely.

Dominic stiffened and His claws finally retracted as he pulled back with horror on his face and his eeus focused and really focused on me in fear.

“Elena…” he breathed, his voice hoarse. “I—”

I pushed him back, It wasn’t hard. It didn’t move him an inch. But my action came from pure panic.

“Don’t touch me,” I whispered, my voice shaking. “Don’t you dare touch me.”
