เข้าสู่ระบบIlya has learned early that revenge works best when it looks like loyalty, no one expects it coming, it's easier when you wear the same uniform as your enemies and sleep under their roof.
Oh, how much Ilya hates them; the D’Avorin family. Every single one of them makes his blood boil, makes him want to claw his own skin out.
They ruined him, ruined his family, the once perfect life he had and left him to die in the street but somehow, he managed to survive in their home.
How ironic.
The D’Avorin family has taught Ilya how to kill, but they have also taught him how to wait and be the perfect Mafia soldier and the suppressants in his veins is another promise that he will get his revenge.
“So, what's the mission about?”
Ilya breaks out of his thoughts at the sound of Valen’s voice. He's sitting at the front passenger seat of the car, with another soldier as driver in place, both of them waiting for the Alpha heir who's late. And the moment he slips into the back seat of the car, he's lighting a cigarette, clouding the car with smoke.
Ilya hides his annoyance.
Valen exhales smoke, spreading his pheromones like he owns the air inside the car, with one arm draped over the seat as his eyes slide to Ilya through the rearview mirror, then comes a lazy curve on his lips, the kind that makes people want to hit him or kiss him. Ilya wants to do neither.
Ilya averts his gaze, turning his attention to something else as another soldier explains the mission. The last thing he needs is to be noticed by the alpha heir.
A few seconds later, they are hitting the road, heading straight to Hotel Solaris
*~*~*
The mission is simple: get the goods and get rid of the target without attracting attention. It's not different from any of the missions Ilya has been on over the years. It's not dangerous either but it's the first time Valen is included.
Ilya pokes his cheek in annoyance, knowing the alpha heir is only known for jeopardizing everything he touches.
They arrived at the five class hotel a few minutes later, the other soldiers already waiting. Valen is the first to slip out and when Ilya tries to follow, his side of the car is slammed shut and Valen comes into view.
“You stay here with him,” he points at the driver.
“But sir—” Ilya tries to protest but Valen presses a finger against his lips to shut him up.
“Father made me in charge of this mission, you are to follow my orders. So, you're going to stay here because I say so, got it, pretty soldier?”
Ilya blinks rapidly, his gaze landing the alpha's exposed chest before he quickly looks away and draws his face away from Valen's finger. “Yes, sir,” comes his reply with bitterness and annoyance hidden underneath it.
Valen's gaze lingers on him longer than Ilya wants before he smirks and walks away, disappearing into the hotel with the other Soldiers.
“He's such a flirt,”
Ilya hears the soldier beside him complain in a way that suggests he wants to be flirty with.
Ilya looks at the entrance of the hotel with bubbling anger, realizing he's been excluded from the mission just like that by the bratty alpha heir of the D’Avorin’s family.
Fuck. Another reason to despise the man whore. The fucking bastard thinks he's better than everyone.
“Crazy asshole,” Ilya mutters under his breath.
*~*~*
Ilya waits in the car with the other soldier, knowing there's nothing he can do now other than to wait for the mission to be completed and get the fuck out of here.
He rests his head against the seat, his eyes shut counting the minutes in his head that passes but that's when he feels it.
A sharp pain in his abdomen. His eyes snap open at once, his hand going to clench his stomach.
The pain isn’t like a wound, it’s deep, hot and fucking familiar in the worst way.
“No,” he mutters under his breath, panic clawing through his veins.
The soldier beside him glances over. “You good?”
Ilya nods quickly. “Yeah. Just… hungry.”
It’s a lie, and a bad one. Ilya shifts in his seat, his heart pounding against its ribcage while his skin feels hot.
Fuck. Ilya curses under his breath, feeling beads of sweat rolling down his temple.
“You sure you okay, man, you smell weird,” the soldier says again, this time with a suspicious frown as he looks at Ilya.
Ilya is not okay. The suppressant has worn off, Ilya is going through a heat on the worst day and way possible.
He reaches for the suppressants in his pocket but immediately stops himself, realizing he's not alone. Fuck. He curses under his breath while the pain increases and his scent is slowly changing.
Shit, he can already feel himself leaking slick in his pants. If he stays here any longer, the whole world will find out his secret.
“Huh…I'm gonna go check what's taking them so long,” he announces and he doesn't wait for a response as he immediately gets out of the car and vanishes into the entrance of the hotel, needing a place to hide.
*~*~*
Ilya doesn't know where he's going but he only knows he has to find an empty room and inject his suppressant.
He stumbles as he walks down the hotel hall, his vision a complete blur while the pain runs through his body like hot lava but clearly, fate isn't on his side because the first room he pushes open isn't empty.
Everyone snaps to look at him. With his blurry vision, he can't make out anyone's faces.
“Sorry,” he apologizes and immediately retreats, stumbling back into the hall to find another room but he doesn't make it far because the next moment, his wrist is grabbed and he's dragged along.
He doesn't protest, he doesn't get the chance to while his brain is clouded with heat and the sudden wave of alpha scent.
One moment, he's in a hall, the next he's in a bedroom and finally, his wrist is released and he falls on the floor. He doesn't think as he grabs the syringe from his pocket and brings the needle to his skin but that's when his wrist is grabbed and his head whips up to meet a familiar pair of green eyes; Valen D’Avorin.
Ilya’s heart sinks to his stomach. No, he can't be exposed like this. What's going to happen to all his plans?
“Let go of me,” he chokes, trying to yank his hand free but the alpha's grasp is strong or Ilya is that weak.
Fuck. His throat is closing on him and the scent coming from the alpha is not helping his situation. He's leaking more slick, his boner is getting tight in his pants and his body is getting hotter. Ilya yanks at his clothes, wanting to take them off.
“An Omega pretending to be an Alpha, now this is a sight,”
Valen smirks devilishly. He grabs Ilya' jaw and forces the omega to look at him, moving his face closer to his. “You smell so good,”
Without realizing, Valen’s pheromones start to get stronger, spreading across the room and wrapping Ilya like a blanket to the point he feels like he's drunk on it and Ilya loses control.
“Alpha…please…” Ilya purrs, all senses of reason gone out the window, as he moves closer to the alpha to get more of his scent and in an instant, Valen's eyes darken. He lets go and tries to withdraw but Ilya grabs the front of his shirt and yanks him back.
“Alpha…” Ilya whimpers, his eyes losing their color to blaze a bright blue, his Omega taking over. And without hesitation, he pulls him in and slams their lips together.
Ilya wakes up feeling like his insides have been torched up in flames.Slowly, his eyes flutter open, and he discovers everything is a total blur. A groan leaves his lips at the pain surging through his body. He tries to move but realizes painfully that he can’t. His breathing catches in his throat. For a few seconds, he doesn't understand why he can't move. His mind feels foggy, his thoughts scattered as he tries to remember where he is and what happened, and then the pain comes rushing back. His head throbs violently, a sharp ache spreading from the back of his skull down his neck. His entire body feels sore, as though every bone has been beaten against something hard. There is a deep burning sensation across his ribs, his arms, and his legs, and when he tries to shift his weight, something cold and heavy digs painfully into his wrists.Ilya's brows pull together, and he tries again but is met by the sound of metal scraping against the floor, echoing through the room. His eyes widen
The Don isn't the one responsible for the death of your family. Those are the only words that echo in Ilya’s head as he lies awake the rest of the night. The moment Valen left the penthouse, he got the chance to leave, and he took it immediately. He needs to know what Reis meant by those words. If the Don didn’t do it, then who did? Could it be that Ilya has spent years hating and seeking revenge on the wrong person? Can he even trust any word that comes out of Reis’ mouth?“I knew you were going to show up.” Reis smiles once Ilya shows up on the third floor of the unfinished building with a clenched jaw and determined eyes as they drill a hole through Reis’ face, and the alpha wears a smile as he pushes himself off the pillar he’s resting on and strides towards Ilya.He tilts his head, racking his face over Ilya’s body before looking up to meet his eyes. “Does your alpha know you’re here? He won’t be so happy.”“I’m not here for your bullshit, Reis. What the fuck did you mean?” Ilya
Ilya had gone back to Valen's penthouse under the rain and the moment he arrived, he ignored the alpha and went straight to the bathroom, stripping himself of his clothes and stepping under the warmth of the shower, letting the hot water run over his skin as he closed his eyes. The sound of the water falling around him fills the bathroom, but it does nothing to quiet his thoughts. He spent the entire time echoing each word Warren said to him at the cemetery. Each word, warning, and each reminder that there was still a way out if he was willing to take it.Only if it were so easy to leave everything behind and start anew but it isn't. Ilya has come too far. He has made a promise and he intends to keep that promise. His fingers curl slowly at his sides as he stands beneath the shower, his head dropping slightly. He knows what he has gotten himself into, and he knows there is no simple way out of it anymore. Whatever happens next, he has to see it through.Thirty minutes, that's how long
The sky above the cemetery is a shade of gray, threatening to break open and pour rain at any given second while the wind howls through the trees, carrying the chill of the incoming winter.Ilya stands before the familiar gravestones with a single rose. Slowly, he drops to one knee, and instantly, the damp grass soaks through the fabric of his trousers, and gently, he brushes off the collection of dead leaves from the carved names of his mother, father, and two sisters.Instantly, Ilya is overwhelmed with a suffocating weight of grief, a pain he has carried on his own for many years. He's too familiar with it, yet it tightens around his throat like a vine."I'm sorry it took me so long to visit," he whispers, his voice raw, stripped of the tough persona he wears for the rest of the world. Here, he's allowed to be vulnerable and seen.He stares at the worn stone, and the memories return."I haven't forgotten," he continues, his voice dropping into a vow. Slowly, he reaches out to trace
The maître d’ pulls out the velvet chair, and Valen takes his seat with a completely unapologetic expression. Well, you see, he’s exactly forty-five minutes late to the dinner date.Sitting across the table is Warren, his so-called Omega fiancée.Valen tilts his head as he notices the changed demeanor in the Omega; he recalled seeing a terrified, trembling little thing on their first meeting, keeping his eyes on the floor and stuttering through every sentence, but tonight, however, the act is gone. Warren is calmly sipping a glass of expensive red wine, his posture completely relaxed, like this is just another business meeting that he can wait to get over and done with.An amused smile crosses Valen's lips as he licks up his own glass of wine and takes a sip. It's the first time someone has been this nonchalant around him, and he's almost intrigued."Traffic?" Warren asks, his tone entirely casual."Something like that," Valen replies dryly, and then Warren reaches over the waiter fo
The night is cold against Rue's skin, but she barely feels it as she speeds down the corner, panting heavily. Her heart is almost beating out of her chest, pounding as if she's being chased by the devil himself... or maybe she is. Because the one behind her is a monster. She keeps running, looking over her shoulder until she collapses against the wall of a dark alley. She doesn't dare waste another second, but the moment she tries to run again, all she hears is a sharp whistling sound before a blade flies across the air and hits her square in the shoulder, sending her violently back against the wall. She cries out in pain, but before she can even catch her breath, a suffocating wave of pheromones hits her with full force, and, in a wink, a hand grips her neck, and her back is brutally slammed against the brick, completely choking the air out of her lungs."Keep running. I dare you," Theon growls, his face mere inches away from hers while his gaze blazes with rage.Rue chokes, her hand
Panic shoots through Soren like wild lava. For one, he can't fucking see in the dark, and someone is shooting in the dark; anyone could be hit with a fucking bullet. Soren blindly takes cover just as another loud bang echoes throughout the room. Then another, followed by more gunshots. The screams
Ilya wakes up slowly, and it’s not because he fucking wants to, but because his body forces him to, and holy shit, everything hurts. His eyes open just a little, and the first thing he feels is the soreness. It’s everywhere. His shoulders, his back, his thighs… even his wrists ache when he tries to
They move quickly from the bedroom. Ilya braces himself against the cold tiles of the bathroom, body jerking to the rhythm of Valen’s merciless thrust while the water from the showers strays heavily on them.Valen’s hands on his waist are tight; his nails are digging into his flesh, holding and keep
“You wouldn't dare.”Valen chuckles lowly. “That's the worst thing to say at a time like this, Omega.”Omega. Omega. Omega. Ilya detests that word to the core. Make him weak; make him realize what he is. “Don't call me that!” Valen suddenly bites Ilya's earlobe, giving it a rough tug while yanking
