My eyes scanned the room, his gaze lingering on the pack members who dared to challenge him.

The tension was palpable, as the air was thick with unspoken threats.

I knew I had to assert his dominance, to remind them of my power, and the authority and command.

“You dare change me!” I released a loud growl and the effect was immediate.

The pack members stumbled backward, their eyes wide with fear as they realized their mistake.

Immediately I watched as they fled one after the other, their tails between their legs.

Finally the hall was quiet, except for the sound of my own ragged breathing.

I turned, wanting to leave the hall when Preya walked on, her eyes fixed on me with an unreadable expression.

"What are you doing here?" I asked roughly, because I didn’t summon her.

She flinched. "I was looking for something that peniel dropped when we left, Alpha." she replied lowly.

"What's that?" I raised an eyebrow, intrigued.

"A calming scent stone." She mumbled.
