Trixie POV It was a glorious Friday morning; I woke up in a great mood with the sun shining bright and a warm breeze coming through my window. I hopped out of bed and took a quick shower and got ready for school. I bounced downstairs to find both my parents had already gone to work. I shot Abby a quick text. Hey! I am ready whenever you get here! – Trixie I hit send and checked my backpack for the essay I had to write on my leadership quote and what it meant to me. I totally saw that one coming. It only had to be three paragraphs, but I ended up cranking out about five. I feel like it was going to be an easy A; and it turns out the leadership and development class was quickly becoming my favorite one over the last week. DING! My phone went off. Here! – Abby I zipped it up and ran out to the driveway and jumped in the passenger seat. It was just Abby and myself today. Janet had an appointment with a fashion school for an interview for a work study program interning at a local fash
Jerica’s POVI rush off to class before Abby and Trixie can question me further about why I rode to school with Jake. We had been at Alpha’s since five am brainstorming on how we were going to celebrate Trixie’s birthday in three week all while trying to get her in our territory for when she shifts and keep her safe and talk her into officially joining our pack. Alpha was getting more impatient by the day but was willing to wait until her first shift. Jake and his brother and my dad thought we should tell her now so she can prepare herself for what is coming. I agreed with Trevor. She needed this little bit of time left to enjoy a somewhat normal life that she thought she was living out in her head. I know all to well the responsibilities that are going to be put on her as Luna. As the Betas daughter I saw it with my mother and father.Trevor’s vote is final though as Alpha, he gave it as an order so that no one could disobey him. He also ordered us not to talk about it with anyone o
Jerica’s POVI finished the school day managing to avoid the girls. I texted Ryan and Sadie which were two other wolfs from our pack that Alpha Trevor had order to go to school here and keep an eye on Trixie and protect her if any harm came her way. As well as our old pack Alpha and Luna which were Trevor’s parents. He made Trixie take a leadership development class that was taught by his dad.Part of the plan for trying to prepare her is getting her to open up to the idea that werewolf’s and other creatures that were made of folk lore and fairy tales to her might be real and co-exist in her world. To do that we are having to get an English teacher to head the book club for school, get her to be engaged in it and have a werewolf book assigned to read within it. Plus getting enough students involved, but on the upside I would do it. I could get Ryan and Sadie to do it and then maybe a few other’s would show up as well to make it more of a group.Ryan&Sadie I need to meet and talk about
Trixie POV*The next day 4th period*I entered my leadership and development class which was becoming one of my favorites recently and took a seat next to the same boy and girl that I had been in my math class and talking weird the first day. I overheard them talking. “I think this would be so cool!” I heard the girl say. “I mean I haven’t bought in yet but Ill read the first book and give it a try.” I glanced over and then back down on my desk there were flyers about a book club meeting after school today and once a week. This month’s theme was Legends and Love. I wonder what that means? “Hey! Are you going to come too!?” The girl asked out loud. I looked up to realize she was asking me. “Uhmmm .. . “ I shrugged my shoulders, “I am not sure.” She nodded. “I heard it was extra credit if you did!” She said with a smile. I didn’t really need extra credit, but it couldn’t hurt. “That’s right!” Our teacher spoke up, “Anyone who attends through the end of this month will get extra credit f
Trixie’s POV Before I knew it the ten minutes of reading time was up and teacher was dismissing us from book club for today. Jerica and I headed to the parking lot were Jake was waiting on us. I quickly hopped in the back with a quick, “Hey Jake!” and locked the back doors so Jerica would sit up front with him. She actually got in the front this time without an argument or snide remark to me or Jake! Maybe he was finally growing on her! She jumped in looking at Jake, “Hey!” She said with a small soft smile. “Hey, how was book club?” he asked her. “It was good, we are going to read a romance novel with werewolf’s! They are always spicy!” She said sounding excited. I knew Jerica liked to read in spare time but I had never thought about what she read or it being ‘spicy’. She turned to look at me in the back seat. “What? You have never read one before?” I laughed and shook my head no. “I am not sure the one we are reading for class will be ‘spicy’.” I did finger quotes in the air. We all
Trevor’s POV I got out of the car and stood in front of it in the parking lot facing in the direction of Trixie’s house knowing I would be calmer once I saw her. I was already beginning to feel her emotions even if she didn’t realize it I am sure she could feel mine too. She said she had a nightmare. One that apparently really upset her to crying. I felt a pain in my chest and sadness filling me. Once I realized I wasn’t sad I knew it had to come from her. I was worried something serious had happened and it was my first time feeling something she was. It was an odd sensation to be linked to another person and feel what they felt. Emotions that are not your own forcing their own reaction out of you. I called her I know a dozen times and started driving here. Ready or not I would have gone through her front door straight to her until I knew she was okay. My wolf was still unsettled until I could see her and hold her in my arms and know she is fine he would not settle. I just needed to b
Trixie POV I snuck back into the house through the back door. I went back to my room and finished the reading. The main character Lily was so thrilled to find out who her mate was and happy even when her mate was treating her like crap. I felt sorry for her. I decided to text Jerica and tell her about how stupid I thought this book was. All this Mate stuff in the book is sad. Lilly can't even see when her mate is being an asshole. -Trixie The way I read the mate bond is that she knows he is an asshole but chooses to love him anyway. Wouldn't it be nice to have all the work taken out of dating and guessing at who your supposed to be with and you just found out when you were 18?!- Jerica I read over her message again. She always had a positive perspective for everything. That would make dating so much easier but I am not sure that everyone at 18 is ready to meet their forever soul mate or whatever. You're always so positive. Do you think anyone is ready to meet their soul mate
Trixie's POV This past week has came and gone with a couple hundred text between Trevor and myself. Each day I find myself becoming more and more excited to talk to him and see him. We have had plans all week to go up on the mountains and ski. Jerrica and Jake were going to come too. I had told my mother that I was going with Jerica and her family to the mountain for the weekend for the ski trip. Jerica told her family that she was going with my family to the mountain for the ski trip. None of our parents were the wiser. This morning I hauled my suit case into Abby's trunk next to Jerica's and we went to school. Trevor and Jake were going to pick us up from school so we needed to have our lungage there to be able to get on the road. Last night I took a long hot bath and showered afterwards too. Made sure to sure EVERYTHING. Just in case, I wasn't sure how far I would let things go but if I decided I wanted to be ready and prepared in every possible way.I was so glad it was Friday.
