Alana’s POV

The last week came, and I started my training with Lawson. He was polite and cheerful as always, and I was very friendly to him as well. He fought hard, but I took special care not to defeat him even once. That would make his guard low. I knew that I could defeat him, even though I couldn't defeat Rawlaine. If I wasn't wrong, Rawlaine was the most powerful wolf alive in the human realm, apart from the pureblood, if not the most powerful supernatural.

On the last day of my training with Lawson, he politely asked for a word with me.

"Can we take a walk?" He asked.

"Sure," I replied.

We walked to the edge of Lake Geneva, which was on the border of the pack's territory.

"I heard from one of the witches that you had a shouting row with Rawlaine over me a week ago," he started.

I pretended to get enraged on his behalf again. ,
