Chapter 23

Ava's POV.

"Madam, we are here." The driver said to me and I opened my eyes.

I adjusted myself on the seat and made a humming sound. "Okay. Have the maids pack my goods into my room once you've parked well. Is that clear?" I added, and he nodded his head with his face twisted to the side to show that he was listening.

"Yes, Ma'am."

"I hope I do not have to repeat myself."

I got out of the car and proceeded forward to the front gate. Before I entered, I took one glance at the exterior and sighed.

It's been a while since I've been here. I had gone on some girl's time with my friends, and that was suggested by Alaric, but now that I was back, I could not wait to see him.

I headed into Alaric's room and called out. "Baby, I'm back!"
