Aria’s POV

I remembered how I felt that night. The fear, the pain and the shock as I watched Moon Bay get burned to the ground. It felt just the same as I peered out through the small window of my cell. Everything was on fire. People running around screaming, fighting. Dead bodies laid crumpled on the ground. The smell of blood filling the air.

Thick black smoke swirled into the sky. This wasn’t supposed to be happening. We were supposed to have the upper hand. After everything, all the shit that I had experienced, the deaths, the loss, it was time to be who I was supposed to be.

“Let me out, Atlas.”

When I turned around, the door was already open and Atlas was gone.
