Aria’s POV I couldn’t believe it. I didn’t understand why I said it, it was like the words just tumbled from my mouth. Like I had no control, like a part of me wanted to protect him. Ryan shifts back from his wolf, laughing. A deep full belly laugh as he looks at me and then Elijah. “There you go Elijah. You heard it from her ‘perfect pink lips’. Alpha Elijah’s POV Why had Simon been so stupid, there was just no need for Aria to know, not now her father was dead. Simon had removed all the good images that Aria had of her father. Her knowledge of her father may have been a lie, but now, he had ruined her memories. “So it's true? He didn’t help you?” Her green eyes are watery. I didn’t want her to find out like this. “No.” “But you tried?” “Yes. First I sent Simon and then as the war grew closer, I asked. I thought he might have been interested. Alpha Ryan’s POV“Well, where is she, where is my darling sister?” Seren spits as I walk back into my new packhouse.“Clearly, she is not here Seren!”“You didn’t force her home!”“I tried. Alpha Elijah wanted to kill me but your dear sister stopped him!”Seren raises an eyebrow at me“She stopped him?”“Yes, but I think I may have found a way for us to get in their pack tonight. It appears there is some sort of party going on. Alpha Elijah’s POVSimon had called in some people to help with her hair and make up. Her dark hair hung in soft curls around her face and the makeup, well, to me it didn’t look like she was wearing any. Aria shoots me a shy smile as she steps out of the bedroom. Her scent hits me hard as she closes her eyes.She looked perfect. Aria’s POVStrange sounds wake me, strange but familiar. Screams, battle cries and smell of blood shed. This could not be happening again. Trying to move, I find my hand cuffed, a metal band wrapped around my wrist and a thick chain was attached. Climbing from the bed, I follow the chain, it was something that had recently been installed and was obviously designed for me. The chain finished under the bed. A large metal ring that had been drilled into the floor, that doesn’t budge as I pull.Rubbing my head, I look around the room, trying to remember what had happened. I’m sure Seren had hit me but when I rub my head, there is no wound. Her dark hair was tied back into a high bun revealing the curves of her neck.Each and every day that passed, I struggled to be around her. Her scent was intoxicating and anytime I was near, it was like it was calling to me personally, teasing me for not marking her yet. There were so many times that something could have happened between us but she always pulled away, or someone would interrupt us.
