Chapter Sixteen

“What do you think she’s doing now? Is she even in there? Did you check and verify well?”

“Why can’t I scent her?” Alston rambled out to Zachariah.

“I checked well, she was in the house last I saw her.” Zachariah retorted, stretching his neck as they peeked into the window.

“Then why is she not in here?” Alston cocked his brows at Zachariah.

A sigh escaped Zachariah lips as he glanced through the room window, she was really not there.

“You can’t even do one thing right. What’s the difference between you and those rogues?” Alston growled out angrily before walking away from the window.

He was drawn to her, something that baffled him and he was yet to understand. Ever since he has seen her on that field and while she was standing in front of this same window, there was something about her that just wanted him to always be with her. He couldn’t say if it was the mate bond or anything else, but he was drawn to her.

“Maybe she went to school today.” Zachariah chided in again.
