CHAPTER FORTY-THREE.

Alpha Kai looked the time on his wrist watched and let out a heavy tired sigh. It was nine pm and he was still in his office, buried in much work. He didn't feel like going home and there was a reason.

A knock came from the door and he looked up at it. There was only one person who could come to check on him at that time in his office and that person was no one else, but his Beta, Baldwin. After giving the signal, the door creaked open and Baldwin walked in as expected. Once he closed the door behind him, he glanced at his wrist watch to confirm the time before turning to look at Alpha Kai who seemed to be busy.

"It's quite late for him to be here." He murmured as he threw a glance at Alpha Kai. He already knew that if Alpha Kai was still in his office at that time, it meant there was a problem. He cleared his throat to announce his presence as he walked closer to the table.

"Alpha Kai." He halted before the table and Alpha Kai looked at him.

"You're here."

"Yes.
