It was a fight with myself that lasted through the night before I made up my mind on the decision to visit my stepmom. Any other person would probably wish for her to die faster.

After all, her death would mean that I didn't have to be worried about whatever headache she might want to bring later on. But that was not me.

Kayla has no guts to wish death for her stepmom. The look on Adire’s face when she told me about the supposed imminent death of my stepmom, looked too real to have been faked by her.

Of course, no normal person would lie about a thing like that. Nothing was impossible for those two witches, though. But I still would not be able to forgive myself if anything ended up happening to her.

I grabbed my purse and took a glance at myself in the mirror. I was set to go.
