At the same time, a two-foot-long gash appeared on Ephraim's back. Then, a dark light burst forth from his body.

Before it could return to the pitch-black church, the flame dragon that was hurtling downward opened its huge maw and swallowed it whole.

As the dark light disappeared, the bright midday sun poured over the land. Golden sunlight spilled onto the pitch-black church.

As everyone looked on in shock, the pitch-black church collapsed.

Clumps of glimmering, black substance flew everywhere. Within seconds, the black substance went from being as hard as rock to becoming puddles of ink-black, putrid pus.

As the church collapsed, the once-powerful Ephraim seemed to deflate like a balloon. He fell to the ground with a heavy thud.
