Chapter Thirty Seven

Sia didn’t know how long Nate and her mother spoke, all she knew was that her mom was beaming with smiles by the time Sally was tucked into sleep.

“Your mom is much more talkative than you are” Nate muttered and Sia smiled.

“Hmmm,” she replied.

“Will she be alright?” Nate asked and Sia stared at her mom through the door glass and turned to Nate with a small smile on her face.

“She will be”

They both walked into the elevator and Nate pressed the button for the lowest floor.

“What did you talk to my mom about?” Sia asked turning to stare at Nate again.

“Why don’t you ask her?” Nate replied a sleezy smile on his lips. The elevator came to a stop and Sia watched as Nate walked towards the Admins section. She had an inkling of what he wanted to do and quickly stopped him.

“I can pay for my mother’s medical bills. You don’t need to do so” Sia said firmly meeting Nate's eyes.
