Kylie
My wobbly knees gave up and the tears I was holding back the whole time fell down like a waterfall. My heart sank deeper into the abyss watching Logan take steps away from me, knowing so well that this would be the last time I was going to get a glimpse of him.
The bitterness of our goodbye lingered on until the next thing I knew, I was dragged inside a black van before it drove away to the Packhouse.
Reaching the end of our Pack’s border, one of the men opened the door. I didn’t wait for them to push me out, and I got out by myself.
The second I walked out of the van, I thought they would immediately fly away to abandon me in the middle of the dark nowhere. But one of them pulled out a black duffle bag, handing it over to me.
“Alpha Lucas asked us to give you this.”
As soon as I accepted it, the van quickly moved away. Being left in the dark alone, the cold breeze blew, and yet all I could do was shed a tear in resentment.
I opened the bag from Lucas, I couldn’t thank him anymore for seeing a couple of clothes, a cell phone, and money inside. However, given the situation I am in right now, I couldn’t even force a fake smile.
Still seated in the dark alone, I leaned on the huge tree, hugging my knees, when fear crept inside me upon smelling a rotten scent a mile away from my place.
I immediately wandered my eyes around as my heart pounded in anxiousness until my sight caught a glimpse of something red yet dark in the woods not far away from me.
My suspicion was confirmed when it blinked, causing me to gulp.
Rogue.
I remained still with my eyes fixed on the huge gray wolf in front of me. I didn’t want to wait for it to kill me, but looking at my options, I knew I wouldn’t be able to run away from this hungry rogue before it would crush me.
My throat went dry when it started to growl, stepping closer to me.
I kept my moves small and quiet as I knelt on one knee, my palms touching the ground as I clutched the handle of the duffle bag.
And when its growls grew louder with its fangs showing, I lunged towards it, shapeshifting midway. I wrapped my lamb, squeezing its head.
Squeaking in agony, the huge gray wolf falls onto the ground. I was all ready to kill it with my sharp claws when an excruciating pain filled me.
I lost my balance and fell sideways, just beside the gray wolf. However, upon seeing another wolf that just hit me with its claw, I hastily got back up, not minding my aching back.
Though bleeding, I was determined to fight another rogue when two other wolves showed up behind him. Heavily gulping, I immediately dashed away. I continued to run, but the other wolf was way faster than me.
Everything happened so quickly and within a blink of an eye, I was on the ground with another throbbing pain that occurred as the wolf’s fangs made their way onto my neck.
In an instant, I shapeshifted back to my human form, bleeding profusely.
The rogue continued to slash my skin with its claws and fighting back wouldn’t make any sense.
My vision began to blur with my own blood, but before my eyes were completely shut, the wolf on top of me flew away as if somebody just pushed it.
I think I was saved.

The next morning, I was more than surprised to find myself alive, lying in such an extravagant white and brown room.
I pulled the white blanket wrapped around me and forced myself to sit down when my stomach suddenly ached, causing me to groan. Lifting my shirt, I saw the wound I got last night was still not yet fully healed.
Someone must have saved me last night.
Just as that thought crossed my mind, the door creaked open and a tall man in a black suit entered. He pulled a chair and sat in front of me.
“Just as I thought. You’re awake!”
I kept my eyes fixed on him as he cheered in glee, smiling so wide that the dimple on his left cheek appeared.
“It was me who saved you last night,” he added, winking as he pulled out something in one of the pockets of his suit before placing it on the table beside the bed I was on.
It was a piece of paper. I grabbed it and saw his name on it.
Jacob Williams.
“Wait, I’m in a hotel that you own?” I asked upon reading through it.
Not hearing any response, I looked back up at him only to find his eyes filled with wonder fixed on me. He leaned in with his index finger on his chin as his eyes examined me. “So, who are you? I never see you around.”
“Well, then, I’m new,” I smirked, leaning away from him.
“Are you a rogue or belong somewhere and got expelled?”
My brows twitched with so many questions he was asking, but before I could respond, he added, “Because you should be aware that you’re in my Pack’s property.”
“If you’re worrying that I can’t afford your hotel, then, rest assured I can pay,” I immediately answered, ignoring his question.
His eyes widened before he laughed out loud. “That won't apply to you, lady. You’re not human.”
Leaving his seat, my eyes followed him until he reached the window and parted the curtains away, allowing sunlight to loom inside the room.
“Look, I’m thankful that you saved me last night,” I paused, fidgeting. “I’m really thankful—”
“Really?” He turned around with his forehead heavily creasing.
I quickly nodded in response.
“So how about joining my Pack?” he blurted without any hint of hesitation.
His sudden invitation was odd. It feels and sounds like he saved me, thinking I’ll get to join his pack afterward. But I’m a lone she-wolf now. Joining a new pack won’t be that bad.
“No,” that word suddenly came out of my mouth.
He slowly nodded. “Okay, it’s not like I’m going to force you or anything. But don’t forget that the Packhouse’s address was written on the back.”
Quickly striding away, the last thing I heard was the door shutting.
I was left dumbfounded, perhaps I didn’t expect him to react in such a way. I was expecting him to somehow convince me. Hence, I grabbed the calling card he left and slid it into my pocket.
I stayed the entire time inside the hotel room. I thought of buying some food as my rumbling stomach began to disturb my sleep. However, my wounds weren’t fully healed yet.
When the dark began to approach, that’s only when my wounds finally healed. I packed myself and walked out of the building to buy food at the grocery nearby.
The fear of having rogues around me was still one of my worries, but after successfully shopping for my needs, I exited the grocery store safely.
Nonetheless, after walking a few meters away from the store, I felt a presence following me. I tried to ignore it, hoping I was just overthinking. I quickened my pace only for them to finally lose patience with me.
“Why are you alone in the middle of the night?”
I turned around to face him and was quickly taken aback to find out he was not alone.
There were three of them.
“Stop following me or else I’ll call the police,” I bluntly answered.
All of them laugh.
“You’re not trying to fool us into believing you’re human, are you?”
KylieFeeling every bit of wrath rushing hastily through my veins, I raised my right hand and threw my straightened palm across Dianna’s cheek. For the second time, she was caught off guard by my slap that rang in the packhouse’s living room.“You fucking—” Her mouth was immediately shut as my other palm hit her cheek two times in a row.I was furiously shaking with my heart pounding. I was holding back too much hatred and pain in my chest. This is the only way I could think of getting it out. When Dianna lifted her face back up, I saw how tears welled in her reddish eyes. Her palms were in a tight fist with her heavy and rapid breathing.“You deserve to lose your child,” Dianna slowly utters, her teeth gritting. She may have failed to hurt me physically by slapping me back, but she definitely broke me with her slapping words. I was stunned for a couple of moments, unable to process what I just heard. My chest became heavier, and I needed to place my palm over my sinking heart. The
KylieA suppressed squeal got out of my lips with another inflamed strike of lightning sharply lashing through. My eyes automatically closed as its bright electrical bolt blinded my vision. The thrumming pour of rain made my entire body quiver with so much coldness. A howling noise was heard from the breezy wind that blew. It was so strong that even my drenched hair had flown. Before I knew it, a set of warm, big arms swaddled me tight. With the amount of comfort they brought, I was left with no choice but to snuggle into Jacob’s homely and toasty embrace. His bare upper body made it even better for my trembling flesh. His grasp was tight enough to shield me from the iciness of the air and the rain that continued to fall. My face was buried in the corner of his neck and shoulder, sniffing his earthly manly scent. It’s not just about how his warmth brought the chilliness of my body at ease. But as long as I remained in his tight embrace, I knew I was forever safe and wouldn’t be able t
KylieMy eyes widened in shock as I felt Logan's lips brushing against mine. I parted my lips open, not to welcome his kisses, but rather to protest. However, Logan seemed to read my thoughts, and he crushed his lips against mine before I could utter a word.I was stuck in my place, unable to move a muscle with my stammering chest and chill running through my veins.Logan’s kisses started soft, delicate, and unhurried, which didn’t last long as they eventually became rigid and torrid. His hands that were pinning my hands onto the tree loosened.I should have, and I could have already pushed him away. But as if I was possessed, I let him do whatever he wanted for that brief moment. I know I look like a fool standing before him, waiting for his lips to conquer mine fully. But everything felt so different. It was as if I was facing the Logan I used to love—the Logan I gave myself to.My teeth almost pierce his lower lip while his palms playfully knead my breast. With my eyes shut, a rush
KylieLogan shifted his eyes on me and upon seeing me helplessly kneeling, his jaw was clenched before a smirk formed into his lips.My heart was flaming, and my chest was heavy. The melancholy darkness filling the room won’t be able to express how crushed I felt at that moment; unable to do anything to save my daughter. This was my fault.Blood splattered across my face. He didn’t stop piercing Freya with his claws until her sobs halted. Not hearing my daughter’s painful wail made me realize that her own father had killed her. With the heavens and hell suppressing me harder, a loud and throbbing shriek came out of my quivering lips.An uncontrollable amount of anger was filling my nerves. My palms, which were in a tight fist, started to bring me pain because my nails were replaced by my claws. It pierced my own flesh, but I was too numb to even react to the pain.Logan shattered me into pieces when he decided to banish me and chose Hanna to be his Luna. But I rose up because that’s
KylieI was stunned, staring blankly into his eyes, which turned softer in an instant. The soreness and brittleness of his voice kept on ringing into my mind.Did I just hear him ask me to choose him? He doesn’t seem to understand what he’s doing.A man like Logan was never used to rejection. But asking me to choose him while using our daughter as a threat is ridiculous. Logan’s eyes glistened with tears welling up in them. I waited for him to take back what he said, thinking it was just his wolf’s fault, but he added, “You heard me right.”And what about Hanna? She was the root of all of our chaos. Hanna was the reason why I was banished. Or is it because the arranged marriage would be over soon, just like what he promised me back then? The need to voice those thoughts was present, but the courage to do so was nowhere to be found.I’m afraid to ask for anything. I was afraid because I knew he was never there for me when I needed answers. Logan didn’t choose me before; why is he aski
KylieLogan's steps were quick and big, but I forced my legs to stride bigger to keep up with him. My eyes were fixed on his back, and I felt my chest pounding every second that passed. He entered Freya’s room and left the door ajar. It was as if he really wanted me to follow him. When my feet landed inside the room, I caught Logan already standing in front of the glass window.“What are you planning?” As soon as my shaky voice echoed inside the room, he was forced to look back at me with a devilish smirk on his lips.“You’re too fast,” he uttered, tilting his head to the left.Blazing yet dark, his eyes went up to my head and down to my toes. Logan clicked his tongue before he turned back to face the window behind him and threw his clenched fist at it. The glass window shattered into pieces.“Logan!” I squealed, afraid that Freya might get hurt by the tiny pieces of glass. He indeed looked back, which I immediately regretted as he began lowly growling. My feet automatically took a st
