Claire’s Dilemma

The doctor walks into his office holding the test results of Claire, the doctor walks back to his seat and he looks in to Claire eyes and Andrew and Claire seated on the chaire facing the doctor and they wonders why the doctor is silent.

“ Doctor! What is the problem?My husband and I are here for the test results” Claire says staring at the doctor expecting to hear a good news from the test but unfortunately it was a bad result and a bad a day for her and her husband because she got shocked when the doctor said what is in the results.

“ I am so sorry ma’am but the result said that, you are barren and you can’t have the children of your own” the doctor says and at that time Claire couldn’t believe her ears and her heart start to beat fast and she looked into the doctor’s eyes again and she knows that the doctor can’t be lying and tears drop from her eyes and she turned her face and stare at Andrew with her shocked face.

“ Doctor! Are you sure that results you are holding is for my wife?” Andrew ask holding his hand wife’s hand and the doctor nods his head.

“ Yes sir” the doctor says and Claire couldn’t still believe her ears.

“ No Doctor! This can’t be true. I can’t barren” she says and tears continue to drip down her eyes.

“ I am sorry ma’am but that’s the truth. If you don’t mind, I have other patients to attend to” the doctor says and the doctor stood up from his office chair and Andrew and Claire to stood with tears in her eyes and the doctor and Andrew had a hand shake and Andrew walks Claire out of the doctor’s office and Claire stood weeping and Andrew tried clean her tears and calm her down.

“ Listen baby! It’s fine.” Andrew says and Claire continue weeping.

“ I can’t bear a child, I can’t give you a child, I can’t never bear child or have the baby of my own and you expect me to be calm, I am overwhelmed with guilt right now because I can’t give never give you a child, you must be so disappointed isn’t it” she says and she continues to weep and Andrew embrace her.

“ Baby! No matter what happened, I will still stay by your side. I love you and I think right now, we should be thinking about a solution” he says and Claire stare at him and she embrace Andrew.

“ I love you” she says and Andrew clean her tears and he walks her out of the hospital and they both enter the car and Andrew drove off.

And hour later, Chantel heard the sound of a car and then she knew it her bosses ( Claire and Andrew) and she remembered Claire ask to make her favorite dish before she is back from the hospital, Chantel has been busy with other house chores and she gets worried that Claire might yells at her as she use to do and she gets nervous.

Chantel is 22 years old girl and she was kicked out from her father’s house when she was still little by her stepmom when her dad was away for a long trip. Her step mum lied to Chantel’s dad about Chantel.She lost her mum at a very tender age and her stepmother as always hated her and maltreated her. She lived from street to street to survive till she grow up to full grown woman and got a job at Claire and Andrew’s house to work as a maid.

Claire and Andrew entered the house and Chantel notice that Claire’s eyes is field with tears and she wonders in her mind, what could be the problem but sue does not know how to ask because she does not want Claire to yell at her and she rushes to the kitchen to get Claire a glass of water and she rushed back to the living room and she walks closer to her trying to hand over the glass of water to her.

“ Ma’am Claire!” Chantel says and Claire raise her head up and looked into Chantel’s house and she could not noticed her holding a glass of water to served her and immediately she yelled at her.

“ What is it?” Claire said in anger and Chantel got scared and she raised the glass of water and looked into Claire eyes nervously.

“ Ma’am Claire! I brought you a glass water” she says and her heart start to beat fast because who knows maybe Claire will still yell at her, Andrew took the glass of water from Chantel and he signaled her to leave, Chantel left and she wonders why could be the problem with ( ma’am Claire).

“ Calm down down baby. Take this glass of water and drink a little” Andrew says and Claire drinks a little and she drop the glass.

“ Take me upstairs baby” she says and she stood up from the couch.

“ Sure baby” he says and he walks her upstairs, they both got upstairs and Claire seated on the bed still crying and the television was on and there an interested movie going where by the wife of the billionaire is barren and the wife of the billionaire ask her sister to help her with child by sleeping with her husband but her husband wouldn’t know because he will be drugged and when she is pregnant, she will also have to pretend that she pregnant at that time and when her sister gives birth she will pay her off and fly her out of the country and she make her signed a contract to never come back for the children and at that time Claire have an idea but she does not know who use because she does not have a sister and she thought of Chantel, she is already lost in thought and Andrew notice and he tap her in her hand and Claire got scare and stare at Andrew.

“ What are you thinking about baby?” He ask and Claire stood up from the bed and she stare at her husband.

“ I was thinking about a solution for us to have a child” she says and Andrew is interested to want hear her idea.

“ Tell me what is it you are thinking about?” He ask and Claire walks closer to Andrew because she is thinking he might not accept her idea.

“ I was actually thinking, we could use Chantel to get our child” she says and Andrew stare at her and he realize that she took that idea from the movie they saw in the tv.

“ You must be joking baby? Tell me you are” he says and he left her front in anger walks to the bed and have his seat and Claire closer to him.

“ Baby! I am serious about what I said. Chantel is an orphan and we gave her shelter, we helped her and we gave her job for to survive so why can’t she help us to in return” she says and Andrew stare at her and also reason that he could get his biological child.

“ I think you have a good idea but I don’t think we should let her know about this plan” he says and Claire wonders what he means.

“ What game are you trying play?” She ask and Andrew smiled and he looks into Claire eyes.
