I nodded, feeling a surge of adrenaline coursing through my veins. As we continued down the road, I couldn't help but wonder who could be tailing us and what their intentions were. The thought of being followed sent shivers down my spine, making me even more alert. I glanced at Richard, silently hoping he had a plan in mind to shake off our pursuers.

"Don't worry; just follow my lead and don't look back." I trusted Richard's instincts and followed him into the dense forest, my heart pounding in my chest. The rustling leaves and distant hoots of owls added an eerie atmosphere to our escape, heightening my sense of urgency. With each step, I couldn't help but wonder if we were entering a trap or finding refuge from our unknown pursuers.

"Wait here and don't move." He said this before leaving me alone, hiding behind a large tree branch.
