25. Happiness

Hooriya padded into the kitchen hesitantly. She woke up early in the morning. Had a shower and changed her clothes. Last night she slept very late. Her mind was thinking of so many things before she finally scummed to darkness.

Shiza was already in the kitchen making breakfast. Noticing eyes on her, she turned around to find Hooriya standing in the doorway.

"Did you sleep well?" Shiza asked as she cut the fruits. "Yes, thank you," Hooriya said as she ambled up to Shiza. "There's no need to thank me," Shiza smiled at her.

"I want to help," Hooriya said hopefully and Shiza was about to deny but seeing the hopeful look in her eyes, she agreed. "Here," Shiza moved aside and Hooriya washed her hands before she took her place in cutting the fruits.

"How many parathas for you?" Shiza asked and Hooriya looked at her a little stunned.

"One please," Hooriya replied. Her heart warmed up. Just last night she thought about cooking with Shiza and here she was.
