I was given a tray of breakfast to carry to the Alphas and Luna. For five minutes, I've stood in front of the brown double door, too weak to knock, knowing it was the room they both shared.

I kept staring down at the shiny silver tray containing eggs, toast, avocado, and chai tea for Addison and waffles with flax and almond butter, followed by a turkey sausage and orange juice for the Alpha. The scent filled my nostrils; I was not prepared to see both of them together inside.
