Hera POV

“Listen up,” I say, trying to keep my voice steady despite the storm inside me.

“ We have a situation.” What follows my announcement is pin drop silence.

“Finn’s got Chloe. He’s holding her to control Zero.” I declare .

As usual, Nyx is the first to react openly. The chair scraps against the floor as she sits up.

“ What? How did he…” she starts ,only to trail off. The others are obviously tensed by that information. They know what that means.

“ That crazy bastard!” Nyx curses under her breath as she takes her position.

“ Indeed. He is desperate right now knowing that we are after his ass.” I say with gritted teeth. I have to say, he outsmarted us this time. I didn't expect him to do something so extreme. I underestimated how far he is willing to go to secure that damn shipment. That tells me that whatever that shipment contains is very important. It's also something we can use to hit him where it hurts the most.

    Hera POV After Nyx leaves the base to her house to prepare to meet with Finn, something crosses my mind. The wind whips at my face but something coils deep inside me.My heart feels uneasy for some reason and I have waves of weird emotions churning inside me.
