Cedric reaches for my hand below the table and gives me a squeeze of comfort. He knows what Scarpati meant to me and that I’m overcome with emotion with this celebration in his honor.

“Absolutely Marco, though Scarpati would’ve cared less...” we all laugh “this is an honor he deserved. Thank you.” I tell the man whole heartedly.

“Can you come to Italy in two weeks? Go over the program? We are shooting to induct him by the end of January.” He says.
