Chapter 2

Hannah was in tears and she remembered what her mum said, why they wanted her dead.

“ They wanted my mum and I dead because of my dad’s businesses, I was the only child and daughter of my dad. My dad used to have a farm business but after my dad died, his family wanted it all by themselves and they want my mum and I dead if I go back to them they will kill me and if I go back to my mum’s family they will trash me. Please allow me to stay here for few days or more just to survive” he said.

“ It’s fine, you can stay here but tell me. What is your name?” He asked.

“ I’m Hannah Adams” she replied.

“ Dan Hills that is my name, I own the oil and gaz companies in this states” he said.

“ That makes you a billionaire” she said.

“ Well thank you so much Mr Dan for giving me chance to stay” she said.

“ Well, I asked the maid to prepare you a meal, you should come downstairs” he said and Hannah went with him downstairs, Ava came into the house and she met Hannah and Dan walking towards the dining, she was upset and she yelled.

“Dan!” she yelled his name and she walked closer to them.

“ Who is she?” She asked in anger, Dan went closer to her.

“Her name is Hannah! She is a girl I helped.” He said and Ava stare at Hannah in anger and she dragged Dan to a corner.

“ How dare you bring a random girl into your house?” Ava asked.

“ She needed helped and I helped her” he said.

“ Don’t she have a family or relatives?” Ava asked.

“ No, she does not have a family or relatives” he replies.

“ She might be dangerous because you nothing about her” Ava said.

“ I will observed the kind of person she is but I don’t think she is a bad person, trust me. Come with me to the dining” he said and he took Ava to the dining so they have their lunch, the maid serve the food and Hannah was rushing to eat the food because she was so famish, Ava saw the way she was rushing to eat the food and she was disgust by it.

“ So disgusting. Don’t you have some table manners?” She asked in anger and Hannah slow down the was she was eating.

“ I am sorry” Hannah said.

“ What ever. By the Hannah, don’t you have relative or family because I don’t think you will be staying here” Ava said and Dan yelled at her.

“ Ava! We talked about this so please just stopped” he said in anger and Ava was angry, she stood up from the dining.

“ I am leaving”she said and Dan tried to stopped but she wouldn’t listen and she left, Dan walked back to the dining worried.

“ I am sorry that, she left because of me” she said.

“ It’s fine. Ava and I are lovers and I am sure, she will calm down and understand” he said.

“ I noticed that your parents don’t leave with you in this big mansion. How do you cope alone?” She asked.

“ It’s sad to say that, I don’t have parents anymore, I am also an orphan like you are, I always wish to have someone to call mum and dad but they are gone” he said and Hannah felt pity and said for him.

“ I am sorry about that. How did it happen? I mean how did you lose your parents?” She asked.

“ I was five, when I lost them. My dad use to have all the oil and gas company in this state and that made him one of the greatest billionaires in this state, after I lost him, my uncle took over, it took time before I realized that my was fighting for my right so in future I will take over my dad’s properties but then my mum fell sick and she died after some months, I was throw out in the streets for years until I was adult, I could not further my education which made me illiterate, after the years, I met with my dad’s old lawyer, he fought to get me back all what belongs to mine but I am pained that I can’t read or write, so my dad’s lawyer always come to my rescue but I can’t bother him always” he said.

“ So how do you manage the company?” She asked.

“ I met with Ava, the daughter of Mrs Fox, she is a business partner and she has been the one helping me with some documents before we fell in-love but still my uncle still wants the properties and I know that he has been finding all ways to get into me but I will not allow”he said.

“ How long have you known Ava?” She asked.

“ Two months” he replies.

“ How long have you been handling your lates father’s properties?” She asked.

“ Five years but over the five my uncle had tried to step up many people to get to me but he was expose” he said and Hannah thought that Ava might be a set up.

“ Miss Ava could also be a set up.What if your girlfriend is also a set up to you.” she asked and Dan state at her.

“ What do you mean?”he asked.

“ Well, nothing!” She said and Dan state at her and think about what she said.

“ Could Ava be a set up to me? No, I don’t think so, mrs Fox is not that kind of person, she is a business partner and she will never want to things wrong to ruined her identity, she is good person with a good heart, her daughter suggested to hep me out” he said in his mind and he looked on.
