LENA POV

“So wait. You're done and you forgot to prepare mine?" Claire asked, looking at the chef with an angry expression on his face.

She felt like choking him to death. Ste might be look and act tough, but she was always a goner for food.

“ You know I would never do something like that, you need to know that." He said, handing over her trsy to her.

I couldn't help but laugh at her actions, they snapped tiger hands at her like I had  dib or committed the fearsome deed.

The laughter dried up faster than it had quickly arise, I looked around trying to understand what was wrong.

That wasn't a bad statement, soon Claire started laughing hysterically.

“You are quite a very lucky woman, but you do not laugh when I'm talking or you are laughing at me. It's that simple, stay out of my way and I would do the same to you.” She said, picking up the tray as shs walked away with disgust in her eyes.

" Is she fine? What happened to her? I didn't say anything that would trigger her annoyance or did I unintentionally?" I asked, looking at their faces to pick up any angered expression..

“She have been through hell and we are the only ones who  had understand her anger. She's not annoyed with you and you need to understand that. She would die for you if you're one of her.”

" But she will never let you know that she cares about you. Just try as much as possible to avoid her as she's still weary of you,” Duke said, laughing gently as he tried to calm my nerves down. Knowing fully well that I was overthinking about everything.

“Okay, where can I sleep pleaee.?" I asked, I was scared of angering another person now.

As it seems my actions would only get misinterpreted by them, so I would keep my mouth shut until I get out of here.

“Relax, the rest of us don't bit. Not like Claire does, but we are like family to you now." He added, rubbing my shoulder in a bid to soothe my nerves.

“Okay." I replied. And I went into the room that he had gestured for me.”

" Goodnight.”

This was just so strange, this wasn't how gangsters should behave. Taking care of me like I was one of them and not a mere stranger they had changed their mind about offering to people that would have killed me by now.

Early the next morning, I woke up as I walked down to the ground floor.

They had already gathered around the dinning room, eating without a care in the world.

They must have forgotten that she was up there, or that they had offended those who hired them by not delivering me..

Spotting Claire as she sat down with her mug of coffee in her hands, I walked back to my room avoiding her totally.

I didn't even want to let her see me, or even sit I should sit down on the same table with her.

Not out of irritation, but of fear. She was scaring me even more than Domino did.

Two hours later, I walked back out when I stopped hearing her commands tossing around the room.

“Have she left? Or is she coming back?" I asked, with my eyes scanning the room.

“No. Trying to get rid of troubles." Duke replied, his voice sounded so odd. He was still backing me as he looked like he was trying to avoid me.

Maybe my presence here was causing more hard than good, I should really get going.

“I would be leaving now, can I use your phone to call who would take me back?" I asked. And he looked up, and I gasped when I saw him covered with blood.

“What happened to you?" I asled, rushing over to him as I took his hands up to stare at them.

“Fuck.. that's a huge nail. How did it into your hands?" I asked, picking up the blanket as I smiled at him trying to distract him from what I was about to do.

“While I was about…”. He winced when I pulled out the nail, blood were gushing out in large quantities.

“I'm sorry, I had to do this to help you."

“Nah, it doesn't hurt that much. I will be fine and you don't need to worry."

Hours later while they stopped at the spot Domino had asked me to wait for him.

“Thank you very much, I can find my way back home from here." I said, smiling as Duke dropped me at the same spot Domino have asked for me to be dropped.

“I know you can, but we can't leave you till I'm sure you are safe from any more harm." He said, as he looked around trying to pick up any threats.

Looking at his size, one would think he was stiff and could barely do anything, but he was the most agile as he used his size to most of his advantage.

I smiled, as I know there was no point trying go argue with him as he wouldn't burge even a bit.

Domino's car swerved forward and they rushed away Asher faring her goodbye, he couldn't be said if he would be lenient or harsh to them.

So Lena had asked them to leave as soon be was sighted, he rushed down dro his car as he looked at the van disappearing.

“Who was that? How did you manage to escape the room? Because I was sure, there's nothing more than that walk-in closet and you have been missing for the past three days.

But you still manage to look this perfect foe that long?” He asked, holding her hands as his eyes pierced through her skin.

" You aren't trying to blame me for what happened right? You should be happy that I kept your child safe and not trying to accuse me for being their target. All because I'm carrying your child,”

Lena POV: I couldn't do that, the voice wasn't even sounding familiar to me. And I couldn't even try coming out.“Lena out with it. It's me." I ignored and I heard a loud thug in the door, sending it flying across the room as it crashed into the mirror startling me again. “Now. Out. We don't want Domino getting to us because I take you away. That would prolong the problem,so step out woman.” "Gront, get out now!" Domino said, he sounded calm. More calm than usual, heightening my curiosity as I sought for where to peep. “Why? Why do you want to ruin our fun?" The man called, Gront said. His voice was filled with mischievous contrasting with that of Domino's calm voice. I finally found a peep hole, and I looked up with mouth still closed with my hands. Gront looked like a Mafia, but he wasn't wearing a mask. Which means he wasn't just a little assassin, but someone of high ranking and power. “You really think I would keep her here? I hated the sight of blood down to my core, it made me feel and look sick.Looking up with my brows knotted in worry, I wanted to be sure he wasn't shot. But who was? The floor was covered with crimson red substance, and I could swear it was blood. Nothing could sway me from that. But after taking a glance, he looked perfectly normal save the tussled hair on his head that added to the dangerous expression on his face right now.“What's happening? Who is shooting and why?" I asked, trying to look beyond his tall frame, but he covered me in a bid to avoid me seeing the scene. If he can try to cover me, then it must be that bad to get such response from him . And I would rather soothe my. curiosity, than getting traumatized. So I shut her eyes immediately and tightly. Without a single word, he carried me over his shoulders as he slammed the door shut and bolted it.“You would have to listen

Lena's POV "I said, what the hell did you find?" Dominic growled angrily. I gulped a lump down my throat, my heart skipped a beat in fear. How did Dominic find out about my snooping? Had I accidentally left something behind? I muttered a short prayer as I wondered what Dominic would do to me.Surprisingly he took a few steps backward away from me. He muttered a cuss under his breath, his hands were curled into a fist and he swung them towards my direction. I shut my eyes close waiting for his fists to land on my face but to my uttermost surprise, his fists land on the wall causing it to make a loud thud noise.I snapped my eyes open to gaze at Dominic with a look of concern plastered on my face. He was hurting yet for some reason, he remained still. He fought back the pain and stared at me with the deadliest eyes ever."This is a fucking warning to you." He said through gritted teeth. He took a few steps closer to me, his hot breath tingled on my bare skin. "Stay away from my things

  • The Billionaire contract Bride    Secrets, Obsession and A deadly warning.

Lena's POV I felt like a bird in a gilded cage. I was surrounded by luxury yet I felt trapped like a prisoner. Not to mention, Dominic's possessiveness was very overwhelming, his presence reminded me of my fate. I was not his wife, I just happened to be his prisoner under the guise of a wife. Each day passed and all I woke up to was the sound of silence. The mansion was huge, many times the size of my apartment, all the luxuriousness, I was surrounded by beauty yet I had no freedom of my own. Dominic had tight security around me. I had no one to talk to, I was banned from leaving the mansion. All I did was wake up, eat, obey Dominic's commands and sleep. I was not even allowed to see my own sister, Emma. Although Dominic would make sure that a guard allowed me to video call her every night before I fall asleep but that was it.I was grateful that at least my suffering was not in vain. Emma looked like she was doing a lot more better. I could tell that she was getting the necessary

I could sense uncertainty laced in his tone.I fiddled with my palms and tried my possible best to avoid eye contact with Dominic. I had not even processed the fact that destiny had played a funny trick on me by making Dominic be the stranger i had sex with. Of all people, of all men, it just had to be him.Dr Smith nodded her head slowly and responded in a very serious tone. "Yes Mr Knight. I just conducted a few tests to examine her body and i noticed that there was already an embryo growing in her." Dr Smith said.Fuck, I was screwed. My countenance fell as I imagined what would happen to me next. It was not like everything was entirely my fault. It was not like I had forced mys
