Amelie’s POV

I can’t believe we only have one day left of our honeymoon. We’ve spent the last few days doing everything and anything on Maui. A full day private tour on the road to Hana, getting up before the sun so we could see the sunrise on Haleakala, and ziplining in the tropical rainforest. Nathan has made this the best trip I’ve ever taken, and I think my body configuration is now 30% pineapple.

Today is our last full day in Hawaii. I wake up to my limbs entangled with Nathan. He looks so peaceful sleeping. I feather my fingers lightly through his ebony hair. How did I get so lucky to have this man love me, I think as I stare at him. I lift my head and gently brush my lips against his. He mumbles and smiles in his sleep. I should just let him sleep, but my leg is literally falling asleep. I slither myself out of his grip and head towards the bathroom, limping as I try to wake up my leg. A bubble bath would feel amazing right now, so I run

Morgan’s POVI can’t believe I bought so much. Whenever I go shopping with Kimmy, I spend way too much money, which is way too often since we started living together two years ago. I can honestly say she’s the best girlfriend I’ve ever had. Now I’m back at my hotel room, dropping all the bags on the coffee table. I’ve had a permanent smile on my face once I knew I was returning to Dutton in the hotel room. I guess he must be in the bedroom.I slowly opened the bedroom door. Aw, look at my sleeping beauty. Gawd, he’s handsome. He’s lying on his stomach, hugging the pillow, his muscular back showing. I want to trace every sinewy muscle. I quietly crawled up on the bed beside him. I brushed his hair out of his face, and his long lashes fluttered open.“Hello, sleeping beauty,” I said, smiling.“Am I dreaming?” He grinned. “Morgan is in my bed.”“No, you’re not dreaming,” I purred. “You’re in our bed.”“I like the sound of that,” Dutton declared. “What time is it?”“It’s 6:30 pm. We reall

Morgan’s POVI straightened myself out and opened the door.“What took you so long?” Kimmy said, walking right into my room with Dante following behind.“Can’t a girl pee?” I said, crossing my arms.“Not on my watch,” Kimmy laughed. “Wow! Your room is so nice!”“I’m sure Dante’s is nicer,” I stated. “Mr. big movie star probably has one of the penthouses.”“I haven’t seen Dante’s,” Kimmy advised.“Sure,” I grinned.“No, she hasn’t,” Dante stated. “I’ve seen hers, though.”“Shut up, Twerkley,” Kimmy scoffed. “You haven’t seen my room.”“Oh, your room. I thought you were talking about something else,” Dante smirked. “And yes, my room is nicer.”“Honestly, Twerkley, I don’t know why I put up with you sometimes,” Kimmy said and rolled her eyes.“Because you love me, legs,” Dante said, smiling.Kimmy turned to me. “What time is Dutton getting here?” Kimmy asked.“I think he should be here any time now,” I said, acting innocently. “His flight was a little late taking off from London.”“I che

Five and a half years laterDutton’s POVIt’s been five and a half years since I spent the night holding Morgan in my arms, and the same amount of time since I’ve been home to America. I took the accelerated program in economics and completed both my degree and doctorate within that time frame. I also wrote a book on Economics that ultimately earned me a Nobel Peace Prize. It took a lot of sacrifice, though. I haven’t seen Morgan in person in all that time. We video call nightly and text nonstop, but seeing someone in person is a different thing. Well, today that changes. The old gang is meeting in Las Vegas. It seems Nathan has a new girlfriend that he wants to introduce us to. Her name is Amelie, and by the sounds of it, Nathan is head over heels in love. I hope she’s not some brain-dead socialite after his money. Nathan is a good guy. But the person I most want to see is Morgan. I stayed true to my word. She is the only girl for me; she is my person.I stepped off the plane in Las

Morgan’s POVI shouldn’t have left him standing there, but I panicked. I cried all the way back to my hotel. I can’t be emotionally with him and not be physically with him. I can’t handle a long-distance romance. Plus, I’m 19 years old and he’s only 17 years old. I know for a fact he’s going to have girls absolutely mauling him in England. Who honestly wouldn’t? I don’t want to stand in the way of his living life and having the full university experience. He’s already texted me seven times. I’m afraid to answer, to let my guard down. So, for now, I’m just going to hole up here in my hotel room and wait for my room service. There’s a knock on my door. Wow, they are great for room service at this hotel. I tied up my robe and headed to the door. I opened it… There stood Dutton. His piercing green eyes stared into my soul.“Dutton,” I gasped. “What are you doing here?”“Morgan,” he whispered. “Please.”“Please what, Dutton?” I said, leaning on the door.“Can we talk?” Dutton asked.“Sure

Four Years LaterDutton’s POV“Today, we stand on the precipice of knowledge and hold the future in our hands. Hold on to the possibility it can bring you, but don’t smother it in your grip.”With that, I walked off stage, and graduation hats went flying everywhere.“Dutton, you fucking rocked it,” Nathan announced.“Thanks, Nathan,” I replied.“Look at you, Mr. Valedictorian,” a familiar voice said from behind me. I turned around to see Morgan standing there. She looked more beautiful than I remembered. Her hair is now her natural honey blonde color. She’s wearing a beautiful, flowery summer dress that makes her look innocent and sweet.“Morgan! You came!” Nathan yelled and raced over to hug her. He picked her up and twirled her around.“I wouldn’t miss it for the world,” she smiled broadly.“Morgan, it’s so great to see you,” I said, wrapping my arms around her in a hug. God, she smells incredible.“Dutton, you look so grown up,” Morgan teased and ruffled my hair.“You look fantasti

Morgan’s POV“I can’t believe you let me buy so much fabric,” I beamed.“You deserve it, Morgan, plus, happy early birthday!” Nathan grinned.“You remembered,” I said, smiling.“Of course, you’re one of my best friends,” Nathan announced. “So, you’re actually going to make a dress before Saturday?””Absolutely, I’m going to be wearing pale blue for the ice theme,” I advised.“I have a blue suit I can wear,” Nathan told me.“Perfect, I’ll make you a tie out of the same material as my dress,” I said, excitedly.“Cool, we’ll be all matchy,” Nathan chuckled. The car pulled up in front of the girls’ dorm. Nathan helped me carry all the bags of fabric to the front door.“Thanks, Nathan,” I stated. “For everything, you’re the best.”“Shh… don’t say that so loud,” Nathan grinned. “People will expect too much from me.”I laughed, “They already do.”We waved our goodbyes, and I proceeded into the dorm with all the bags. I guess I’d better start designing and sewing.I walked through the lobby.
