Chapter 54: She’s Married: Learning The Truth

One of the main reasons I wanted to travel home by myself was so that I could pay a visit to the graves of both of my parents. Even though it has been more than a decade, the events are still quite clear in my head, despite the fact that their faces have started to become less clear to me.

I was in the process of sitting on the level ground and observing the two graves that were directly in front of me. My eyes began to tear up as I experienced the sensation of the wind completely rearranging my hair.

Painfully, I whispered something to the effect of, "I kept on worrying what would happen to my life if both of you were alive."

I've been standing here for far too long, and when I said "directly" in the last sentence, I didn't mean that the sun has been hitting my skin for the past several minutes. The weather is beautiful, and the wind is blowing strongly enough. It is not unbearably hot, but rather warm enough for people to venture outside.
