Alessa heard distant voices in her sleep. Slowly, it started to get louder and closer then she realized it was her kids.

She could feel their tiny hands all over her.

“When is she going to wake up?” Aria asked as she ran her hands on her face.

“I don't know, should we wake her up?” Aiden asked as he moved his face closer to hers.

“Don't wake her up. The doctor might get mad.” Aria said and tried to push Aiden off but he wouldn't move. They were both in her bed in the hospital.

“I feel like she is pretending. I know she is awake, I know Mum so well. Nothing hurts her.” Aiden said as he ran his hand on her forehead.

“You don't know anything.” Aria scoffed.

“Really? Watch this. I am going to do a magic trick and wake her up.” he said confidently and cleared his throat.

“Alessa,” he called dramatically.

“What?” Alessa replied and opened her eyes sharply which caused both of them to flinch and scream in fear.

“That was not cool.” Aiden raised his voice and she chuckled.
