“What do you mean you’re not getting married but you’re also getting married.” Avery demanded and I started to speak once again.

“Well, you see…”

“Are you joking with me right now, Nathaniel Blake Harlow?” Avery demanded, placing emphasis on his demand by listing out my full name, and also proving the point that he was indeed dramatic, without realizing it.

“I swear to you, I am not.” I echoed out, lifting my hand up to rub against my face, puffing out a breath and moving my weight from foot to foot a little.

“Then what’s honestly going on?” He asked, his voice loosing all that edge which had suddenly surrounded it as soon as he had immediately concluded that I had been keeping some huge thing about myself away from him.

“Like I said up there, yes, I am getting married, but then—” Avery cut into what I could say before I could complete my sentence, he was extremely fond of that shit,
