Chapter Eighty Nine

Henry plunged the empty containers inside the plastic bag and threw it at the back seat. Eve gave her forehead a little scratch and thought about the way she had disposed of her container.

"You don't have to thank me, Eve. I just did the right thing." Henry responded. He pulled out more tissues from the cabinet and passed some to her.

She took them and began cleaning her hands. "That meant so much to me. I didn't know what I would have done if you didn't side with me."

Henry gave her a loving blink. "I was just doing the right thing."

He started the car and they were soon hitting the road.

"Aren't you worried that Leonard is going to pull out of the partnership?" Eve pointed out.

"Well, the truth is we are both out. I don't see him being my client anymore." Henry replied.

"Losing a client like Leonard Barry means losing a lot of cash," Eve said and palmed her forehead with her left hand. "I'm so sorry, it's all my fault."
