Chapter Ninety

"It skipped my mind, Olivia. I've been so busy that I even forgot about it." Eve lamented. Her left hand was on her forehead while her right hand was holding onto the phone. She was speaking to Olivia.

"Oh come on Eve. How could you forget your parent's wedding anniversary?" Olivia almost yelled.

"If my baby sister hadn't called this morning to tell me about the dinner party they were hosting for them, I wouldn't have gotten a hint," Eve said.

"Well, I'm glad you know about it now. I would have loved to tag along but I'm on a tight schedule."

Eve sighed. "It's okay Olivia. I'll just go alone. Jen is occupied too."

"Send them my hugs and kisses and don't forget to take gifts along," Olivia said.

"Of, course," Eve replied with a sigh and hung up.

The door to Eve's office was wide open. Henry walked in and saw her scribbling down some notes on a paper.

"Good morning Eve," he greeted, announcing his presence.

Eve allowed the pen to slip out of her hand. She lifted her head. "Good morning
