SIN

I twirled the stem of my glass once, tossed the contents down my throat in one gulp and dropped it at the nearest waiter’s serving tray. My sole intent was to be introduced to the woman who flipped my world upside down.

I evaded anyone who looked like they wanted to approach me by steering clear of their way. With soundless steps I approached the couple and my sister who were obviously having a casual chat from behind.

That dress. The champagne gold dress with all its charm was flashing through my eyes and making it hard for me to fight the scowl that was beginning to surface at the sight of the arm that was curved around her lower back as though it belonged there.

My gaze lingered for a moment before I cleared my throat and let my presence be known.

Ana’s eyes lit up and with a broad grin she hooked her hand in my elbow, urged the couple before her to turn around and when they did the expression on April’s face was priceless.

She didn’t see this pleasant surprise coming.
