They got to the room, and Vienna released his hand. She wanted to ask him how she got to the bed earlier but decided against it, and besides, Alan wouldn't do such a thing, so it must have been Kellie.
Vienna concluded.
"So, would you like to go first or should I?" Vienna asked, maintaining her calm.
"What?" Alan asked.
"I mean taking a shower," she answered.
"You go first," he replied.
Vienna walked to the bed and picked up the nightgown placed on the bed for her and entered the bathroom.
She came out in twenty minutes, tightened the gown and sat down in front of the mirror to blow-dry her hair.
When she finished, she wanted to climb into bed to sleep but wondered how Alan would be able to take care of himself in the bathroom alone.
She sat down and listened. After fifteen minutes, he came out dressed and went straight to the bed to sleep, and the realization dawned on Vienna about where she would sleep.
She stood up and went to the closet, hoping to find some duvet to use but there was nothing in there. Not even a piece of cloth.
"Aren't you going to sleep?"
She heard Alan's voice call out and wondered why he was so unbothered about them sharing a bed.
But knowing she couldn't sleep on the bare floor either, she slowly crawled onto the far end of the bed and lay down.
Her heart beat noisily as she shut her eyes and hoped the night would end as soon as possible when she heard Alan's soft breathing.
"So, he sleeps early," she thought, and slowly turned to face him. Vienna adjusted her body on the bed, moving closer and sighed, then closed her eyes again.
Vienna opened them a few minutes later after falling asleep and saw Alan's back turned to her, sleeping so close.
She placed a hand over her nose to cover her breath and made to move backwards when she noticed Alan suddenly turn to her, his face right near hers.
Vienna was startled. She stayed calm for a few seconds and when she saw that he was not waking up, she relaxed but kept staring at him.
The corner of her lips lifted up, forming a smile and Vienna immediately slapped herself awake.
"Vienna, he is someone who ruined your family," she said to remind herself.
Alan moved a bit and rested his hand on her waist, holding her, and Vienna furrowed, about to push him away but felt the warmth of his hand on her body.
Her body shuddered and she exhaled slowly, holding her breath after and called out his name.
But that only made him cuddle her more in his arm and she felt his breath fall on her neck.
Vienna gripped her shoulders, moving her legs slowly to show her unease but didn't push him away and simply pulled back a little, staring at him.
She touched his forehead, poked his nose with her finger, then scanned his face down to his neck while biting her lips painfully.
Vienna wanted to move her hand away but felt more curious and caressed his face, curious about his Adam's apple as it moved gently.
Her eyes fell on his loose buttons, revealing his chiseled chest, and she felt tempted to touch but didn't.
Vienna swallowed hard, unable to believe herself for having such unclean thoughts and closed her eyes briefly, mortified.
Alan opened his eyes all of a sudden, and Vienna froze, taken aback.
Alan's eyes stared at her for a second then he closed his eyes again and turned his back to her.
Vienna panicked, and wanted to explain, but it seemed he already fell asleep again and she quickly rolled away on the bed and accidentally rolled off it, hitting the floor.
"Ah!"
Vienna mouthed, knowing she deserved the pain and sat up from the floor, checking to see if she disturbed him again but he remained still on the bed and she heaved.
She wondered if it's because she had never been with any man that made her feel attracted to just anyone, even to someone she hated so much, and slowly stood to her feet.
That's it, that's the only possible explanation.
Vienna told herself as she quietly made her way to the bathroom and closed the door after her, deciding to freeze in the bathroom rather than go back inside.
Alan opened his eyes as soon as he heard the door close and turned slightly on the bed, confirming Vienna wasn't there.
Then he heard the sound of water in the bathroom. He adjusted the pillow and closed his eyes to get some sleep.
Not able to take his drug to sleep today, he closed his eyes to think and ponder about other things to distract himself when he heard a movement and felt her body lying close to him.
Alan shook his head, surprised it only took a few minutes for her to start rolling all over the bed and turned his back to her, but her steady breathing made him turn around though he kept his eyes closed.
He could hear the silent whimper from her and felt amused, so when he felt her hand push him, he wrapped his hand around her and waited for her reaction.
Alan wasn't sure where his hand fell, but didn't want to open his eyes so he moved his hand a bit and realized it was her back.
He waited for her reaction after this but none that he expected came and then he felt a tingling sensation as her hand moved over his face.
He tried to ignore it, not sure if she was doing that subconsciously or not, but when he felt her hand touch his neck, he could no longer keep calm and gripped his hand tightly, forcing himself to open his eyes a second later but he couldn't see her.
Alan heard her gasp and closed his eyes again, sure that she was awake, and turned away from her.
He tried not to move despite being tempted to and kept his eyes shut until morning.
The sound of the knock on the door woke them up in the room and Vienna jumped on her feet from the chair to the bed quickly.
"Come in," she said, and the butler walked in and greeted them before inviting them for breakfast.
"Thank you," she replied to him.
"Here are your clothes," he added and dropped the clothes for them on the chair.
Vienna heaved as he left, and climbed out of the bed again, then saw Alan also waking up and moved aside.
Vienna watched as he exited into the bathroom and quickly grabbed the other part of her nightgown and put it on. She must have taken it off while sleeping and felt grateful that he couldn't see anything or it would be hard to explain.
She waited for him to finish and entered as soon as he was done, feeling guilty about last night.
She finished freshening up and then realized that she had forgotten to take her clothes with her.
Tapping her feet by the door, Vienna opened it slowly and couldn't see him, then sneaked out slowly with a blue towel wrapped firmly around her chest.
Since he couldn't see her, then she just needed to make sure she got to her clothes before he noticed.
Vienna got inside and saw him talking on the phone, but also sitting next to the chair with her clothes on it.
Feeling more nervous as she approached him, she stretched forth her hand to grab the clothes and accidentally tripped on Alan's leg.
She went crashing towards him and tried to get a hold of herself but her towel went loose and she grabbed that first.
Her body fell onto Alan's lap and she closed her eyes, horrified for a second.
"I'm... sorry," she stuttered, rushing to get up but he held her arm back, his other hand finding her waist and Alan raised his brow.
"You are not dressed?" he asked, his eyes seeming to bore into her body even though she knew he couldn't see her, and Vienna shook her head, greatly embarrassed.
"Yes, I wanted to get my clothes," she answered, flushed, as she got up and hung her head low.
"Is that so? You seem to be eager to touch me since last night," he said, and Vienna wanted the ground to swallow her.
She should have known he was awake last night, and knew.
"I'm used to sleeping on the same bed with Vanessa," she replied and hurried away to the closet with the clothes in her hand.
Vienna hit her head slowly against the door, not believing how stupid she made herself look before him twice, and started to dress up.
Vienna finished and remained there, not bothering to dry her hair and waited, hoping he would leave the room first, but the call seemed to be taking longer than ever.
"But if he was awake, why didn't he push her away or say something?" she wondered as she used the towel to dry her hair and sighed, annoyed.
More with herself for having no self-control.
As soon as she gets out of this place, she needs to maintain a distance and make a better plan.
Gathering the courage to come out, Vienna informed him she was going out first and went to the dining area.
Vienna thought Alan would return the same night, but when she woke up she was alone in the house until early in the morning, and she locked the doors.George left the house the next day after making sure to stock it up with a variety of food items, leaving her alone in the house. For the next few days, Vienna stayed alone in the house, and aside from visiting her mother in the hospital, she remained alone.Three days later Vienna stumbled upon a blog revealing her relationship with Alan as his fiancée, and she tried calling him, but his phone was unreachable. After her picture was revealed, it became challenging to visit the hospital without being noticed, and she decided to limit her visits.Vienna started receiving multiple calls from Alan's extended family soon after that, and a number of them even dared to visit the house.Vienna wanted to rudely shut them out, but she didn't want to raise any issues, so she forced herself to entertain a few, declining every one of their gifts and
Karen and Benita were gone before Vienna and Alan arrived at the table for breakfast and ate together with his grandfather. When it was time to leave, Clinton sent a lot of gifts with them and asked his butler, Mr. George, to go with them to deliver them.Vienna tried to protest to Alan about their agreement not including her living with him, but since they already lied to the old man about having a baby first to stop the wedding from happening anytime soon, it would be weird for her not to live together with him.The ride was so quiet that even their breathing was subtle, and Vienna fumed quietly within herself. She wondered if she really had to share the same bed and live with Alan for three months and dreaded the thought. The car pulled up in front of the house, and George opened the door for Alan, helping him inside."You should leave after taking in the gifts," Alan said, turning to instruct him."Grandfather asked me to stay with you for a few days and help you around the house

“The chairman is too tired to join you all for dinner today. He has retired early,” the butler announces before leaving as swiftly as he came. The table is arranged in a romantic style, candlelight glowing across polished silver and crystal glasses. The dishes look exquisite, but Vienna feels only a hollow annoyance."What a waste," she thinks."If only I could share a moment like this with someone I actually loveand who loves me back. Instead, I’m stuck here with a scum like Alan, in a fake relationship, and a so-called best friend who betrayed me with my enemy."As soon as the last dishes are set down, Benita dismisses the maids. Silence thickens, leaving only the four of them at the table.Vienna uncovers a plate and begins serving herself, only to feel Benita’s hand touch hers.“Vienna, how have you been?” Benita asks softly, her tone carrying a strange gentleness.Vienna jerks her hand back. Since when has she ever used that voice with me? “I don’t think we’re on good terms for y
“Vienna, right? I heard you broke off the engagement long ago. Why are you back now?” Rose, Sanchez’s wife, asks with a smirk.Vienna lifts her gaze from her plate, forcing a polite smile and giving only a small nod.“I’m sure you’re here for the same reason everyone else is—money and power,” Rose adds with a laugh. “I can’t believe you’d sacrifice your life like this, marrying a blind man.”“Eat,” Alan warns from beside Vienna, his low voice carrying an edge. “Or you might not have a tongue left by the time you leave.”Rose’s grin freezes, but Benita jumps in smoothly from across the table. “Aunt is only worried about Vienna. She didn’t mean it like that.” She turns her attention to Vienna, her tone falsely sweet. “So, Vienna, when are you getting married to President Alan?”Vienna almost laughs. President Alan? The last time she saw Benita, she was calling him her man. Now the sudden formality is almost amusing. Vienna can’t help but wonder if Benita abandoned Alan only because she
Vienna stayed in the hospital all day with her mother and Nisan, while Vanessa stayed at home. Then, on the day of the surgery, they all stayed until the end of the surgery, and it was successful.Vanessa and Vienna went back home very late at night to prepare, while Nisan stayed back to take care of Victoria. They packed the few things they had and headed back to the hospital early in the morning, and a car came to pick them up at the hospital around eleven in the morning.Vanessa decided to go with her, and they arrived at one of Alan's private houses. It was a very reserved place, located in a far and hidden location.Vienna got out of the car and headed in, following the driver's instructions. They entered with a backpack each and met Alan with Kellie waiting for them in the living room.If not for the fact that Vienna had been told about it already, she would not have believed that he was actually blind. His eyes were wide open, like he was staring straight at her.It had been th
