LOGINVienna watched as he exited into the bathroom and quickly grabbed the other part of her nightgown and put it on.
She must have taken it off while sleeping and felt grateful that he couldn't see anything or it would be hard to explain. She waited for him to finish and entered as soon as he was done, feeling guilty about last night. She finished freshening up and then realized that she had forgotten to take her clothes with her. Tapping her feet by the door, Vienna opened it slowly and couldn't see him, then sneaked out slowly with a blue towel wrapped firmly around her chest. Since he couldn't see her, then she just needed to make sure she got to her clothes before he noticed. Vienna got inside and saw him talking on the phone, but also sitting next to the chair with her clothes on it. Feeling more nervous as she approached him, she stretched forth her hand to grab the clothes and accidentally tripped on Alan's leg. She went crashing towards him and tried to get a hold of herself but her towel went loose and she grabbed that first. Her body fell onto Alan's lap and she closed her eyes, horrified for a second. "I'm... sorry," she stuttered, rushing to get up but he held her arm back, his other hand finding her waist and Alan raised his brow. "You are not dressed?" he asked, his eyes seeming to bore into her body even though she knew he couldn't see her, and Vienna shook her head, greatly embarrassed. "Yes, I wanted to get my clothes," she answered, flushed, as she got up and hung her head low. "Is that so? You seem to be eager to touch me since last night," he said, and Vienna wanted the ground to swallow her. She should have known he was awake last night, and knew. "I'm used to sleeping on the same bed with Vanessa," she replied and hurried away to the closet with the clothes in her hand. Vienna hit her head slowly against the door, not believing how stupid she made herself look before him twice, and started to dress up. Vienna finished and remained there, not bothering to dry her hair and waited, hoping he would leave the room first, but the call seemed to be taking longer than ever. "But if he was awake, why didn't he push her away or say something?" she wondered as she used the towel to dry her hair and sighed, annoyed. More with herself for having no self-control. As soon as she gets out of this place, she needs to maintain a distance and make a better plan. Gathering the courage to come out, Vienna informed him she was going out first and went to the dining area. ... Karen and Benita were gone before Vienna and Alan arrived at the table for breakfast and ate together with his grandfather. When it was time to leave, Clinton sent a lot of gifts with them and asked his butler, Mr. George, to go with them to deliver them. Vienna tried to protest to Alan about their agreement not including her living with him, but since they already lied to the old man about having a baby first to stop the wedding from happening anytime soon, it would be weird for her not to live together with him. The ride was so quiet that even their breathing was subtle, and Vienna fumed quietly within herself. She wondered if she really had to share the same bed and live with Alan for three months and dreaded the thought. The car pulled up in front of the house, and George opened the door for Alan, helping him inside. "You should leave after taking in the gifts," Alan said, turning to instruct him. "Grandfather asked me to stay with you for a few days and help you around the house since you don't have any servants in the house," George told him. He had been working with the Clinton family and had become so close that Alan's grandfather regarded him as family. Alan sighed, knowing his grandfather's trick. He usually hated the mention of having servants in the house and only hired workers who came to clean and leave immediately. His grandfather really found a good excuse this time. Not sure where to go, Vienna stood on her feet close to the door and clutched the bag in her hand. "Come with me," Alan muttered to her, easily finding his way around the house, and Vienna followed, observing carefully as she went. Almost everything in the house seemed new and built to make it easy for someone like him to live without getting hurt. Arriving at the first door, Alan opened it and stepped in, holding the door for her. Vienna felt skeptical and reluctant to go into the same space with him and declined. "I will just wait downstairs," she told him, and heard an annoyed sigh from him. "I'm not going to bite you," he said. "Fine," she mumbled, and heard the door close behind her as she stepped in. Vienna stared around the room, surprised that his place was actually more homely than what she thought it would be, and folded her arms. The interior and design seemed like what a man would allow because he wanted to satisfy his wife. Ignoring that and focusing on what’s important, Vienna turned to Alan as he took a seat on a chair. "What are you going to do now?" she questioned, and Alan raised a brow, confused. "I never agreed to live together with you, and how could you think of using the word pregnancy to your grandfather?" she snapped, annoyed. Alan blinked, flabbergasted, not expecting her outburst, but remained calm and unbuttoned a few buttons on his shirt. "You agreed to do anything asked of you for the next three months," he reminded her. "You sicko," Vienna cussed lowly, but he could still hear her. After watching her act so quiet and calm yesterday, despite all that was said about her, Alan thought the last three years must have changed her from her old self, but it turned out he was wrong. She was still as feisty as before. "If you had thought of a good reason, I wouldn't have had to step in and say something," he replied. "Then you should have thought of something better. How are we going to convince him?" Vienna asked, worried, but Alan sneered. "Don't get ahead of yourself," he told her. "I have no intention of sleeping with you. You only have to play your part right and follow my lead," Alan said firmly. "I won’t even if you offer to pay me," she retorted. "I hate the idea of sharing the same space with you, talk more of the same room and bed," she muttered in complaint, and Alan's grip on his staff tightened, angry. "Shut your mouth," he said lowly, but still loud enough to create some fear in Vienna, and she closed her mouth immediately. "I am going to get rid of George. Just ensure that grandfather doesn't find out anything from you," he told her, knowing how shocked and disappointed he would be if he ever found out that he was using the same trick again to deceive him. Vienna stared at him facing her and took a long inhale before speaking. "About Benita, did you..." she started, but Alan didn't allow her to finish before grabbing her arms and pushing her back against the wall behind her.Bonus Chapter. Alan drives Vienna to the clinic for her regular check-up, one hand on the wheel, the other reaching back to hold little Alex's hand. But Alex pulls away with a slight frown."Dad, I'm a man now. You don't have to hold my hand in public," he says with an air of seriousness far beyond his five years.Alan chuckles. "Really? Since when?""Since forever," Alex replies confidently. "People will think I'm still a baby if you keep doing that."With an amused smirk, Alan lifts his hand in a full, dramatic salute. "Yes, sir. Noted, young man."They walk into the clinic, and after a few quiet steps, Alex glances up at his father again. "Dad, do you think Mom's going to have a boy or a girl?""I want a little brother," Alex declares without waiting for an answer. "That way, we can do cool stuff together-and he won't be into dressing up like those silly girls at school."Alan raises a brow, murmuring just loud enough, "I don't want that."Alex hears it. "Don't want what?"
Two of Alan's bodyguards entered the room and firmly took Benita from Sam's grasp, escorting her out without mercy. "I know she's done terrible things," Sam said with a hint of sympathy, " But please... don't hurt her." "That depends on my mood," Alan replied coldly, then turned and led Vienna out of the house. Sam followed behind them."I didn't know you told Alan about this," Sam asked Vienna, his voice a mix of surprise and concern. "I'm sorry," she said gently, "but it was for the best." Alan's patience was thinning, his expression growing more serious."Mr. Alan, I'm really sorry about everything," Sam said, stepping forward and stretching out a hand. Alan didn't take it. Instead, he brushed past him with indifference. Sam chuckled softly, not offended by the snub. He turned to Vienna. "I just hope we can still be friends," he said sincerely, holding out his hand again.Alan instinctively stepped forward, but Vienna subtly stopped him with a light touch on his arm. "I don't
Nisan takes a taxi to Vanessa's apartment. As he leans back in the seat, a quiet sense of relief washes over him-he's finally said what he needed to say. For the first time in a long while, he feels light, almost happy. He once longed to reunite with his father, tired of being labeled "fatherless," but after two years of living that life, he realizes he prefers to be somewhere he's loved for who he truly is-not for what he represents. The taxi pulls up in front of Vanessa's building. Nisan pays with the last of his cash, steps out, and knocks gently on the door. He waits. About a minute later, Carolina opens it.She says nothing when she sees him, only gives a nod and steps aside to let him in. Silently, she leads him down the hallway to Vanessa's room. She's already asleep.Carolina leaves him there and quietly walks away.Nisan steps closer and sits on the edge of the bed. He gazes at Vanessa with quiet remorse. He shouldn't have left her-not when she needed him most. Gently, he tak
Vanessa suddenly stopped insulting him and abruptly ended the call. Nisan, caught off guard, quickly dialed her number again. But this time, someone else answered."Hello?" a voice said. It was her roommate."Can you please give the phone to her?" Nisan pleaded, his voice shaky.Carolina hesitated but eventually handed the phone over, clearly reluctant."Vanessa-" he started, but she cut him off."Nisan, can you... can you not go through with the engagement?" she asked softly, her voice trembling. "Can't you break it off for me?"He didn't answer. He could hear her sobbing quietly on the other end."Remember when you told me you'd grant me a wish before leaving?" she asked. "Can I use it now? If it's about money-I will work harder to support you-" Carolina snatched the phone from Vanessa before she could say anymore nonsense and ended the call.Nisan stood frozen, the silence on the line echoing louder than any words. He slowly lowered the phone from his ear, still stunned, just as
"Are you staying over?" Victoria asks, popping another fruit into her mouth."I'm not sure I should," Vienna replies, taking a bite from the plate herself.Within moments, Miner walks into the house. Both women stand up to greet him. Victoria walks up to him with a cheerful smile, wrapping him in a warm hug before taking his bag."What's the reason behind all this excitement?" Miner asks, raising a brow at his wife's unusually cheerful demeanor."Aren't you just glad I'm happy?" Victoria teases with a playful tone."I am... just pleasantly surprised," he replies, clearly curious."Vienna's here too," Victoria adds, glancing at Vienna with a subtle nod.Miner nods knowingly and takes off his suit and shoes before settling on the couch. Victoria quietly takes them to the bedroom."I'll leave you two to talk," she says with a smile, disappearing down the hallway.Miner turns to Vienna. "So, what's this about? You sounded urgent.""Dad," Vienna begins hesitantly, her tone serious, "I need
Sam stares at Vienna in utter disbelief, his mind struggling to process everything she's just revealed. Her words paint a picture entirely different from what Benita had told him.According to Benita, Vienna had manipulated Karen-driving him to madness-while stringing Sam along with lies. She claimed Vienna abandoned Karen coldly for Alan's wealth and even aborted Karen's child to erase any trace of their relationship. Benita insisted Alan framed Karen, leading to his arrest and eventual death. Through it all, Benita positioned herself as the loyal friend Sam never noticed, the one who suffered in silence and was wrongfully imprisoned because of Vienna. But now, hearing Vienna's version, Sam's certainty crumbles.Vienna, calm but resolute, watches the confusion twist across his face. She reaches into her bag and pulls out a folder thick with documents-proof of Karen and Benita's alliance, their plot to seize control of the company, and details about Alan's eye injury."Take this,"
