Blake’s Pov

“Does anyone else have any opinion about my life choices?” Ridge’s voice boomed beside me, pulling me back from my thoughts as I looked at the people whispering.

I was standing here, wondering what they were whispering about, asking myself if Balance had been the on behind the note in the flower this morning, that I missed the most important thing.

This wedding… it wasn't just about me. It was about Ridge and I and I could hear the anger in his voice now, but I was too engrossed and focused on Blanca and what she had done, to try to soothe him as well.

He was equally feeling what I was, as this was his wedding too. Maybe I was the selfish bitch my father called me.

“I'm asking if anyone of you want to interrupt this wedding, still. And watch me break you in half for talking trash about my mate.” he said.

I could hear Elaine gasped from the front row where she was sitting and when I looked at her, I could see what Ridge said wasn't good thing, I mean, that was obvio

Blake’s Pov Throwing my head back to laugh, I shook my head at Nabi. “Are you serious?” I asked, still very much invested in the story she was telling me about what she had done when she caught her boyfriend cheating. I couldn't even believe half of the things she had told me already because they were just wild. I wasn't used to this kind of conversation, only with Kenny, but not even this carefree. Kenny would tell me things about herself, fill me in, but still, I was not always in the mood or the most attentive. But here I was, being attentive and genuinely enjoying it all. Nabi gave a prim nod, but her eyes were glinting with mischief. “Oh, I’m very serious, Luna. I took every single one of his precious sneakers, stuffed them with sardines, sealed them in plastic, and left them in his car… windows rolled up, in the middle of July.” At that confession, I gasped. “No, you didn’t!” I said, using my hand to cover up my mouth, stunned. I could practically see the look on the

Ridge’s Pov “Good morning, Ridge.” I heard behind me and I turned to see Blake standing there at the door of the study. “Hey,” I greeted, turning back from the French windows to her. I walked to the edge of my desk and sat on it. “How was your night? Good?” I asked and she nodded. “Yeah, it's fine. Nabi said you're in here.” she said. I nodded, folding my arms across my chest. She did look well rested, and I was glad it was an upgrade to her looking like she was dead on her feet last night. “I told her to tell you that when you come down. I want us to have breakfast together.” I told her. She smiled. “Okay. But I want to talk to you about something first.” she said. That got the smile on my face to slip and I furrowed my brows. “Hmm. What's that?” I asked, then before she could talk, I raised my hand to stop her, then I gestured for her to come sit. She pushed off the wall and walked into the room properly. She took her seat, and I looked down at her. “I’m sorry, but I

Ridge’s Pov Parking the car, I turned slowly to look at Blake to see that she was still sleeping. She had closed her eyes as soon as she entered into the car, and at first, as I started to drive to my beach house, I thought she was just trying to reminisce, but then after a while, I realized she had slept. She must have been very tired. I wouldn't blame her. Sighing, I got out of the car and left it open as I walked around the car. The last thing I wanted was to startle her awake as I closed it, so it was better that way. As silently as possible, I opened her side of the car, then I lifted her out of the car. The house was all lit up, as Nina and Mom had had someone come here and clean it out before our arrival. Mom also had her housekeeper here to wait on us while we were here for the period of our stay. Before I got to the front door, the door opened and Nabi stepped out. “Hello, Alpha. Welcome. I've prepared the room.” she said, with a small bow of her head and I nodded,

Blake Pov The music began in the old church, playing so soft, echoing, and reverent, as the heavy wooden doors creaked open for me. I stepped forward, one hand wrapped tightly around Kenny’s arm, the other gently gathering the edge of my gown to stop it from dragging too soon. The dress flowed behind me in smooth, endless folds of white silk. The fabric had a weight to it, like history pressing against my back. Kenny was dressed in a navy blue suit that brought out the seriousness in her expression. Her normally mischievous eyes were steady, gentle even, as she looked over at me and whispered, “Are you ready? Are you sure? Are you fine?” she asked all in one breath. I swallowed. My lips were already curled into a soft smile, I couldn’t afford to look like I was breaking apart inside, at least, not today. “I’m fine,” I replied, nodding once. “I promise.” She gave me a small skeptical look but didn’t push with the question. Instead, she walked forward with me, slow and deliberat

Ridge’s Pov “You should really start getting ready, Alpha,” Roman said, arms crossed, an eyebrow raised like he was trying to keep the irritation out of his voice but failing. Normally, I would have just rolled my eyes at him because I knew how much Roman could be a pain in the ass just to hasten one up, but in this case, I knew it was right. It was my wedding day, and I was happy to do it, so I should be showing that in my eagerness. The only thing was, I couldn't seem to finish this up on time. I sighed, rubbing my eyes with the heel of my hand. “I know, I know. Just give me five more minutes. I need to finish up this treaty report. The ceremony’s still at one.” I said. Roman didn’t move. “It’s eleven o’clock already. It's going to be time before you know it.” he said. I blinked and glanced at the clock on my screen. Shit. He was telling the truth? Where the hell had the morning gone? I was still expecting it to be around ten or something. It felt like I had only eaten br
