My cousins were in an unusually high spirits after eating dinner. We gathered outside and formed a bonfire and just talked about random stuff to pass the time.

“I can’t believe we’ll get to go there. It’s my first time going to the base of the Secret Society. I wonder who we’ll meet there.” Celina said.

“We’ll probably see some faeries, elves, and other kinds of creatures, so when we get there, you must all be in your best temperament.” Ronan said, and his gaze lingered longer on Jace.

“Why are you looking at me?” Jace grumbled, glaring at him.

“If your hurt then you’re just guilty.” Ronan said and Jace scoffed.

“Whatever, it’s not like it’s my first time going there anyway. I’ve already been an ambassador before, so it’s not new to me.” He said smugly.

“Yeah, and the last time you were there you caused all sorts of trouble that resulted in you being banned there for a whole year and your title revoked.” Ronan said causing us to laugh.
