Chapter Twenty-one

Rence

We were on our way back to the parking lot when Angela asked me for the car keys and I just looked at her confused.

She just sighed before looking at me directly into my eyes, “I’ll drive us back. You should take a rest.”

“I can drive. You’re the one who should take a rest.”

“I insist. Don’t worry I won’t crash the car with you in it.” She cracked a smile at me and I just shook my head in defeat before handing her the keys.

I gave her a smirk and jokingly said, “So you’re saying that you would crash my car if you’re driving it alone?”

“It depends on my mood. If you pissed me off when that day comes, I would probably crash it.”

“You’re crazy.”

“And you’re bossy.”

I just laughed at her and went inside the car.

It was rush hour when we were driving back to the company. And honestly, the lo fi music that Angela played made me more sleepy.

“I told you that you can sleep. It’s a long drive.”

“That’s why I need to stay up. I don’t want to feel alone when you’re driving.”
