Since that incident, Ethan had been much nicer and at the same time distant with me, we were getting along a little better, but not like the day we both apologized to each other.

He didn't accompany me when I went to the GYM or shopping with some of my girlfriends, but he was almost always stuck in my house.

We didn't talk much, just trivial things like what he thought of what was on TV at the time or how was the food that night, totally impersonal and banal things.

My friend Amy called me to confirm going to the beach in 2 weeks, I had already spent half a month on vacation and I hadn't realized what I had used it up on.
