Travis

The clowns were thrown out and the event finally resumed as I took great pleasure showing Isabella off to everyone looking. She felt like an impostor but the whole place paled in comparison to her beauty.

“Is it possible for you to back my company Mr. Travis?” There was actually someone who'd stood in front of me saying something but I heard absolutely nothing.

Isabella had moved away from me some seconds ago and was in the midst of some women and my eyes kept tracking her movement as she moved around the place.

Call me a bad person but I'd rather be in bed with her or lost in her than be here right now but business had called, leaving me with no other option but to show up.

I had married Isabella because I needed access to some locked funds and hidden rules meant to be used against the Baron's who had been planning an hostile take over for decades now.

The highlight of this event was that it featured an auction and the auctioneer just called everyone's attention at once and I walked up to Isabella and brought her back to my side.

You could call me someone obsessed with her at this point and I wouldn't even disagree because I was indeed obsessed with her.

She smiled at me as the auction started. The main highlighted item for sale that day was a necklace and an ankle bracelet.

The bidding started but I was determined to win so with an outrageous amount I was able to get both the necklace and ankle bracelet.

“Why did you buy this again Travis? I've been married to you for just a few days and I already own more jewellery than anyone from my ancestral line but I can only wear one at a time you know Travis?”

“I plan to buy more Isabella. That's how much I will always spoil you sweetheart, get used to it.”

She was about to respond to me but her lips had been distracting me and I just wanted a bit of taste. We were in the open but being the horny bastard that I was, I didn't bother about that as I simply bowed my head and kissed her.

There was absolutely nothing gentle about this kiss and even though I'd heard some people fake cough, I just didn't care as I went tongue deeper in her and my hand went into the slit of her dress as she moaned and I practically dry humped her out in the open without a care in the world.

My hand had just literally moved to her ass when Isabella tapped out and I groaned but stopped as we both were breathing harshly as I stared into her eyes and laughed.

The people around were wise enough to mind their business as the event progressed but I was over it.

I wondered if it would be such a bad idea if I simply walked out of the building with her and drowned myself in her because I was truly paying no attention to anything they were saying anymore.

The master of ceremonies addressed the people and of course I got an award I was absolutely not interested in at the event because one thing you could be sure of was people's ability to kiss your ass once you were at the top of the food chain.

I had seen more than five men stare at Isabella but they had been wise enough to quickly look away before I caught them red handed.

They were all hungry wolves but unfortunately for that she was my prey and I had no intention of sharing her with any of them no matter how many times their sick minds had probably been fantasizing about it.

Isabella excused herself to the ladies while I was addressing the crowd on the podium I was called to and I wanted to climb down immediately and go after her but I managed to handle my speech without making a mess of everything.

Once I was down, I went after her and walked into the ladies room and found her adjusting her dress and posture in front of a mirror but I'd simply turned around and locked the door.

I was a hungry man who had been starved and the last thing I was at that moment was being a reasonable person.

“You're not meant to be here Trav. It's the ladies room.” She said as she looked right into my eyes and smirked. She knew how badly I'd wanted her out there and this was probably her way of teasing me about it but I was too far gone to remotely care.

I walked up to her and kissed her breathless before I spinned her around facing my back and she faced the mirror full on as I looked into her eyes and trailed little kisses on her neck downwards before putting my right hand is the slit of her dress and putting in three fingers in her as she moaned in pleasure and threw her head back as she rested her head on my shoulder while I increased my pace.

I used my left hand to cup her boobs and grunted in pleasure as she rubbed against me and as she was about to get off her high to find a release the first time, we heard the annoying voice of her ex husband Puerto at the door.

“I know you're in there Isabella. Come out, we need to talk now.” He kept banging at the door and I scoffed at his audacity as she had her orgasm.

I had unzipped my pants but she was trying to keep her moans down but there was no way in this world I was having it. Not for this fool anyway so I adjusted her posture making her hold on to the zinc as I slammed into her and this time around, all hell let loose because she couldn't hold on to her voice anymore but I was never going to allow her remain quiet either way as I spanked her ass.

“Whose pussy is this Isabella? Don't I fuck you so good? Take my damn hard dick well, it won't be leaving you anytime soon.”

Her screams continued but I had just gotten started and I was not planning to stop anytime soon. He wanted to be an audience so I was going to give him a show that'd scare him for the rest of his life.

KarinaI learned of the child in a hotel bathroom, from a woman who was supposed to be incapable of surprising me.Desire had telephoned at six in the morning, and she had spoken in the clipped monotone of someone reading a casualty list. She told me that the Chairman’s people had stripped a clinic on Wimpole Street during the night, that the wife was nine weeks gone and thriving, and that the husband had been told at midnight in a library in Kensington. I sat on the edge of the marble bath with the telephone against my ear and the taps running to cover my breathing, and I felt two opposite things arrive in me so close together that I could not separate them. The first was horror, because I knew what a child meant to a man like the Chairman. The second was a cold bright thread of calculation that I despised myself for recognising, and I followed it as a sleepwalker follows a corridor.A child complicated everything, and complications were the only s

IsabellaI wept into Scott’s jumper until the wool was damp from collar to cuff, and he never once told me that he had warned me.He did not warn me, and he did not say a word of comfort that sounded rehearsed. He sat beside me on the library sofa with one arm around my shoulders and the other resting on the cushion beside my knee, and he let me shake until the storm in me wore itself thin. The fire burned down to a bed of red coals, and the clock in the hall chimed two and then three, and the light of the single lamp made a warm island in the vast dark room.Travis had been gone for nearly an hour, and I had not moved from the place where he left me. I had heard the front door close and the car engine fail to start, and then I had heard nothing at all, and the silence afterward had pressed against my ears like water. A part of me had listened for his footsteps returning along the terrace, and another part had prayed that they would not, and I had hated bo

IsabellaI had imagined this moment in a hundred different rooms, and in every one of them I had been wearing something more dignified than a borrowed dressing gown.I had been woken by the sound of a fist on the front door, and I had lain rigid beneath the coverlet while the old house carried the murmur of two men’s voices up through its floors. Scott had come to my door a minute later with his jumper rumpled and his face grave, and he had told me in a quiet voice that my husband was downstairs and had been drinking. He had asked whether I wished to see him, and I had said yes before I had thought, because some stubborn instinct told me that whatever was waiting in that library had been coming for me since the night of the hotel. Now I stood in the doorway with my hand against the frame and watched Travis hold my child’s first photograph against his chest like a man holding a wound closed. His face was grey beneath the stubble, and his eyes were red

TravisThe words left my mouth before I understood that I had spoken them, and I watched them strike her like stones.I never wanted this. I had not meant to say it, and I could not call it back, and the sentence hung in the warm air of that library with a terrible permanence. Isabella flinched as though I had struck her across the face, and her hand flew to her stomach in a gesture so instinctive and so fierce that it cut me far deeper than any accusation could have done. She did not weep and she did not shout, and the stillness of her face was the worst thing that I had ever seen.“I did not mean it as it sounded,” I said, and the words came out thick and clumsy. “I only meant that I never allowed myself to imagine it, because I have spent my whole life arranging things so that this could not happen.”“I see that you succeeded splendidly in the arranging.” She spoke very quietly, and the courtesy in her voice was a bl

TravisThe burgundy had sat untouched on the sideboard for an hour after Karina left, and I did not stop looking at it until I had drunk myself past the point where looking mattered. She had refused to say more. She set down her glass, laid two fingers against my sleeve, and told me that a woman who had lived five years in a house with no windows had learned to ration her truths like water in a desert. The body in my mother’s coffin had never been viewed by anyone who loved her, she said, and the person who might still explain why was not yet safe to name. Then she had walked out and left the lift doors sighing shut behind her, and I had poured the first whisky without noticing that my hand was shaking.By eleven o’clock the study smelled of peat and cold ashes, and I sat on the floor with my back against the desk and Isabella’s emerald ring clenched in my fist until its setting bit into my palm. I had told myself that the performance was neces

The ShowerElianaThe invitations had gone out on cream card embossed with silver storks, and Mrs. Moore had personally written every address in her spidery copperplate hand. The shower was to be held at the Hampstead house on a grey Sunday afternoon, and she had spent four days preparing it with the grim intensity of a woman rallying a failing army. Thirty-five guests had accepted, which she considered a triumph, and which I considered evidence that London’s matrons had missed the drama of a Moore scandal more than they feared its contagion. The drawing room had been transformed with swags of pale yellow tulle and bowls of white freesia, and a table along the window groaned beneath a pyramid of boxes wrapped in pastel paper.I sat in a high-backed chair at the head of the room like a queen receiving tribute, wearing a flowing lemon silk dress that hid the extra weight of the pad at my waist. I had redesigned the apparatus three times since the hosp
