I got up from the floor and approached the kitchen.

I looked at the dishes he was preparing and then at him. I pointed to a rolled-up pastry dusted with sugar and a scoop of ice cream, and asked:

" What 's that?"

"Strudel. Have you never tried it?" I shook my head. "Well, today you'll have the chance to taste it. It's a pastry that contains various fruits as filling, especially apples. It's truly one of the best desserts in Germany."

"Apple? Does this have apple in it?" He nodded. "Adri can't have apple; he's allergic."

"It's alright, for us..." he looked up, thinking. "Actually, I'll leave you the recipe so you can make it with a different fruit. What do you say?"

"Alright." I approached the fridge and opened it.

I grabbed a Coca-Cola and offered it to the German man.

Once dinner was ready and the dining table set, the three of us sat in the chairs and without further ado, began to eat.
