Chapter 12

At around dawn, Reed was awoken by the sound of an ambulance. She stood up from the ground and stretched whiles yawning.

She looked around the parking lot for Dave's car. Knowing he was still in the hospital, she went to guard the main entrance.

Not long after, Reed saw Dave's car coming out from the parking lot.

She couldn't care less about anything else as she rushed straight up!

The car was not driving fast and it stopped just when Dave saw Reed.

Dave got out of the car and Reed walked up to him to explain the incident to him. All she wanted was for Dave to not go after Kim but as soon as she took a couple of steps, she felt dizzy for no reason. A second later, everything went dark and she passed out!

By the time Reed woke up again, she was in a single ward. There was a woman in her fifties in the room. She knew at a glance that she was the servant of her grandma, Judith Defiant.

Reed spoke weakly, "Stacy..."

Stacy looked back and saw that she was awake.
