_Veronica Tamer POV_

"I can't believe he survived the car crash" Henry, my first son cussed, his hand on his waist and a bottle of liquor on his other hand.

Yes, I can't believe he survived too. He was supposed to have died then. But then that girl, she had to go and save him, if she ignored him like everyone one else did then he would have been dead now. It made all my efforts go to waste.

"But he's still alive and he also lost his memory so we should use that to out advantage. We need to take the company from him and kill him too. We need to do it fast. Use his memory lose and make him seem incompetent in front of the shareholders."

But that girl Bella might be a problem. When did they both start dating? I haven't seen her with him before except that one time. Something doesn't seem right.

_Bella Davis POV_

I am immediately pulled into a hug the moment i step into the apartment. The familiar smell of Avery Davis filling my nostrils for the second time this week. I want to push his away, but I don't holding myself back.

"I missed you" he whispered, holding me tighter and I resist the urge to gag.

He moves in for a a kiss but I'm quick to avoid it, stepping out of bis hold. Luke didn't tell me that I had to kiss him. I wasn't aware of that, am i supposed to have sex with him too?

We are supposed to be dating now, but that doesn't mean…

He stares at me confused as to why i avoided his kiss, but I don't give him the chance to ask quickly asking a question.

"Where's Luke? I thought he was here." I ask looking around for the person that dragged me into this. I was really looking for him this time. I needed to bash his head with the contract papers because who drafts up such crazy things?

"Oh, Luke had something to do so he left. He won't be back till tomorrow." He says looking obviously confused on why I was asking about him.

"You and Luke rarely talk. Why are you asking about him?" He asked me and I couldn't think of an excuse to give.

I mean before this I never had a conversion with you and here I am acting as your fake girlfriend.

That makes me wonder how he thinks I'm his girlfriend.

The doorbell rings acting as my saving grace and Avery immediately goes to answer it.

I drop my bag on the sofa, looking around the living room.

It was exactly what i expected. Giant flat screen tv, expensive looking portraits and  expensive looking everything.

"Why are you looking around like you haven't been here before." Avery asked chuckling and I fake a smile.

That's because I've never been here before, but he doesn't need to know that.

"It's nothing" i say smiling.

"I bought your favorite pizza and drink." He tells me and I notice the pizza box and bag he held

He bought my favorite pizza? Now that's impossible cause he doesn't know me, my favorite pizza hasn't changed since years now and it's not something you can randomly guess.

He opens the box and the delicious smell of pizza fills the room, but it obviously wasn't my favorite. I was right.

He's supposed to be cold according to the rumors, Avery Tamer is known as the coldest and probably rudest billionaire out there, and him acting all nice to me is really not what I expected.

I gave him a once over, going from his black hair which was tousled on his head, to his dark blue eyes, his almost perfect jawline, thin lips and the dimples that only showed when he smiles. I can't deny it, Avery was quite good looking, the only problem was the family he came from.

We were from two different worlds and we didn't fit.

"You are staring." He says snapping me out of my reverie and I look away from him, picking a slice of pizza.

Was I actually checking him out right now?

No, that couldn't have been the case. There's no possible way I would have been checking Avery Tamer out.

But why am I nervous? This isn't the first thing I've been with a man alone.

The door bell rang and my eyes snapped to the door, then going to Avery.

"Are you expecting anyone?" I ask ready to pick up my bag and bolt out of here if it was to be his family at the door.

"No, I'm no." He stands up, walking over to the door. The moment I heard her voice I knew I should have bolted out the moment I could.

"Where is she?" A woman who I'm guessing to be Ava, Avery's ex girlfriend screeched. I stil have time to run away if I can just find a back door.

I stood up slowly, tiptoeing close to the door and hiding behind a wall so I wouldn't be seen. Avery had his back to me, the door ready to be shut in her face at any time

"What are you doing?" Avery asked Ava, it was obvious he was blocking her path with his body

"Babe, I don't know what that girl told you. But she is lying. She's not your girlfriend. I am. You don't love her, it's me you love. I know we had a misunderstanding but you can't do this to me, you really can't." She begs him from the door and I roll my eyes. She sounds a bit desperate, don't you think?

I couldn't see Avery's reaction from here. Why isn't he doing anything? Did he remember something? He's just staring at her.

Her eyes meets with mine and I instantly back away, hiding behind the wall.

"You little witch.."

Before more insults could come my way, the door gets banged shut. Avery walking back inside, he sees me but doesn't say anything. None of us saying anything to the other.
