Ethan had not felt good ever since he left the banquet the previous day, and the only thing that he was left with was the piece of her snapped bracelet that he had with him. He had retreated to the small, congested room that he slept in at his suite, which covered a shield against the outside world as he succumbed to the numbing embrace of apathy.

After Ava stormed out of his sight from the hallway, he still had her bracelet which had snapped with him. He shook his head as he looked at the shining ornament for a while, before turning back to the direction of the banquet hall in forlorn.
